November 16, 200817 yr Surprised but pleased that they have played the Bellamy Brothers two weeks in a row. It's so uplifting... Rihannanecdotes remain completely unfunny, judging from the Leona clip, Katy Perry would make a much better presenter. Gym Class Heroes is oddly growing on me. The backing track is actually gorgeous, just a shame about the rest of it. They obviously work better on production than they do on performing. The Scottish Children in Need...charity is NO excuse. There's no reason a charity record can't be GOOD.
November 16, 200817 yr Hey how's everyone? why scary Guns n Roses are great and i'm sure x-factor viewers like Ruth's version of "Knockin on heavens door"
November 16, 200817 yr 26 Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/RR38332.JPG Chart Run: 26 [1 wk] Release date: 17-11-2008 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: RR38332 Label: ROADRUNNER Though journalistic shorthand often finds Nickelback dubbed "the Canadian Creed", the band found success on its own terms right from the start with the 2000 debut album THE STATE. It may be true that the band's heavy guitars, pounding drums, and dramatic vocals are in line with the Creed approach, but like that band, Nickelback is equally indebted to the heavy metal and hard rock heroes of the '70s. As with many other 21st century heavy rockers, though, Nickelback fits catchy pop sensibilities into their sonic onslaught, ensuring as enthusiastic a reception from radio as they receive from their rabid fanbase. - HMV Listen here: i2rZ8Y1yY64 track listing 1. November 16, 200817 yr Hate this. It's not that I hate rock, but it's just lame compared to Rammstein or something. Sounds like Marilyn Manson. I agree. I rather listen to Nickelback 5 times than one time GnR.
November 16, 200817 yr Hey how's everyone? why scary Guns n Roses are great and i'm sure x-factor viewers like Ruth's version of "Knockin on heavens door" I did. But it's a Bob Dylan song originally. Is it wrong that I quite like this new Nickelback song? Big climb since the midweeks... Glad you agree about G'n'R Ben :) Edited November 16, 200817 yr by TomKay
November 16, 200817 yr ruth was singin the GnR version i think Gotta be somebody is pretty bad but a welcome improvement to Rockstar and Photograph
November 16, 200817 yr I did. But it's a Bob Dylan song originally. Is it wrong that I quite like this new Nickelback song? Big climb since the midweeks... Glad you agree about G'n'R Ben :) I like this Nickelback song too. I actually thought that Nickelback was quite good until they overplayed and overhyped Rockstar
November 16, 200817 yr Author 25 (from 15) Razorlight - Wire To Wire [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1785877.JPG Chart Run: 30-5-9-15-25 [5 wks] Release date: 27-10-2008 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 1785877 Label: MERCURY One of the most successful bands in the new New Wave of British punky/poppy acts to fill up the U.K. airwaves and charts in the wake of the Libertines. Razorlight distinguished themselves from the pack with a defiant, delightfully egotistical attitude toward the press and the scene. The band were criticised for being derivative and overtly ambitious, but the upbeat catchy tunes that they put out helped to turn Razorlight million-sellers leaving much of the criticism largely irrelevant, original or otherwise. - HMV Video here: CDA_I4zQGfM track listing 1. November 16, 200817 yr I really like 'We Cry' and 'Breakeven' from The Script, it's a shame the awful TMWCBM was the one that did well. :(
