Great for leona, though she could have had total domination if run was out on download this week, she would hae got number 1 single and album!

 

 

I think Beyonce will prob climb to the top 5 by the end of the week

Other than Wino (who only hit the #1 spot after her Grammy sweep last year) how do Deluxe / repackage albums normally do in the charts?

 

 

They don't normally do that well, I guess having a Deluxe Album for a big album does better, all the sales on the Deluxe are combined anyway

Chris Brown - Superhuman - non-mover from yesterday, down 1 from Sunday. Album is not top 40.

 

Don't think the album would be #1 if Run was available as a download. It would have still made #2 IMO, but would have fallen slightly short of Dido sales-wise.

LOL, she performed on X Factor on Saturday and is now in the US. Her segment on GMTV yesterday was pre-recorded and she's in America for the rest of the week.

Do we know what the gap in sales is between Dido and Leona ? I'm guessing not a lot but Leona must be outselling Dido by 500+ a day to have overtaken. I know its got other new tracks and DVD but this is all on the back of 1 performance and 1 song. someone said on here that 1 performance would be unlikely to get a single to No 1. well its gone a step up and got an album to number 1 !! Anyone think of anytime by any artist this has ever been achieved before ? when Leona's management and Sony get the songs right and 1 gigantic performance to 10plus million people Leona is unstoppable (unlike forgive me that was too 'not Leona' for the people who voted for her and kick started her career, sadly :-(

Yeah I'll agree with that - from what I've seen across various boards and from my own personal experience from those at work, THAT performance really was phenomenal.

I think Beyonce will climb to #6 as its still had a day's less sales than GA but top 5 might be asking a bit too much now as they are all also new releases.

What I find so strange is the total lack of promo from Dido herself. It's not as if she'd struggle to get slots. It's as if she can't be bothered. The lead single was weak as well. I'd have expected at least 200k from her this week going on past history. The problem is not what others are selling, it is what Dido isn't.
