I did, but from what I hear Amy's deluxe had an awful lot more to offer. Do we really want Leona back at no.1? Its essentially the same album as last year with only a couple of new tracks and being released just before Christmas is such a cash in and the fact she went on X-factor just to promote this. Man, people are gullible. Even if I wasn't a big Dido fan, this would be my opinion. People will laugh at Dido and write offensive comments, but she doesn't care. Her music is selling more on merit. Frankly, considering that Dido has hardly played the usual tactics, its astounding she's ahead right now, so I don't get the Dido-hate around here. I still respect artists I don't like if they get to no.1 unless its the desperation of McFly/Westlife.

I thought I was reading a chart prediction thread, not a thread where people slag off acts and their fans and argue like kids cos they happen to not like something others do, and vica versa.

Well I haven't bought Amy Winehouse's album and won't buy Leona's either. Nor Dido's :lol:

Duffy's physical release is this week and it's not Top 10. :(

BTW I think there are some sales missing (as always on Tuesdays) so I can see Hero going back up to 1 tomorrow, and Duffy climbing a bit. Hopefully top 10 :D

I'm not surprised at what appears to be Dido's comparatively low sales - she's been away for a long time and it was a weak lead single. In the absence of strong promotion how many people are even aware she's releasing this week? Having made so much money from her first two albums I doubt she feels the need to go chasing around the world now, and his happy to just record and let the world make their own judgement. Think the record company might be disappointed though.

For those that are wondering, Leona's Album just isn't some "2008 Versions" of album tracks, with a couple of new songs on, you also have a DVD with some Vids and Behind the scenes stuff on. So they are offering alot more than what other 'Deluxe' albums offer. Amy did a brand new 2nd disc with covers on and Duffy is releasing a Deluxe edition with a brand new disc with (I think) brand new tracks. So if you get more for your money I don't see the problem. I was against Rihanna Re-Releasing her album because it only had 3 new tracks, but I bought it as I didn't have it before. (Oh yeah and rumour has it, Rihanna is Re-Re-Releasing her album :rofl:)

I haven't seen any Dido-bashing by Leona fans apart from one idiot in one post in this thread. Most were hoping for the re-release to make top 10 and far more concerned with the decision not to release Run.

I totally understand :lol: although it's the name that's a bit harsh. But Dido fans are just as bad saying things like, "Leona 'Boring' Lewis" which is kinda ironic coming from a Dido fan! I won't go to name calling an artist like some people on here. Like calling dido "Dildo" etc... I used to do that when I was about 12 :lol:

 

I personally think Dido is Dull and Boring (and so do many others) and it just makes me laugh when all them fans are saying that Leona's Boring :mellow: but yeah if Leona's tracks WERE available to download (Legally) then I'm sure that the album would only be at about 5 or 6 but because it's NOT available for download there are fans that will ensure they have a copy (Just to complete their Leona stuff etc...) which is why it's Number 2 and apparently only 500 copies behind. Because it's so close Dido and Leona fans are just clashing.

 

Also, I am annoyed that I can't download 'Run' yet. But I think it is very clever of Sony to do what they have. It just makes me laugh with some people saying "if Leona beats Dido then I will HATE her" etc.. It's like don't blame Leona, blame her management if you are really against it :lol:

Fantastic for Beyonce in the singles chart, fantastic song. Great for Leona in the albums aswell, really hope she can overtake Dido by the end of the week.

 

Poor Beyonce in the albums though, really hope she can start climbing soon.

Rihanna has already re-re-re released her album - I saw it at HMV yesterday with a bonus live DVD.... So that's:

 

- Initial album

- Initial album + bonus disc of remixes

- Intial album + 3 new songs

- Initial album + 3 new songs + live dvd
