Rockstar was released last year anyway, so god knows what the rules are in this thing...

Possibly the same as in 1998, when both Angels and Never Ever were shortlisted, despite both being released in 1997.

I voted for Coldplay

I don't understand Duffy is way in the lead with 24.7%, and Nickelback is way behind on 12.6% how odd... suddenly Duffy has got more votes, has someone just fiddled it.

Probably people creating mutiple accounts :kink:

On a Seperate note:

I don't think it's too bad. "Rockstar" gets alot of flack, it's in 2008's Top 5 biggest selling singles, despite being released Late last year! Whether you like it or not, it sold alot and there are actually people out there who like the song. I'm expecting to see Leona Lewis - Run in Next years contest... but that all depends on how it holds up. With the Download rule in place, if for example Faith Hill managed to sell over 300,000 copies this year, I would expect her to be in the contest, despite being released in 2001 or whenever it was...

^_^

Voted for Duffy, only about 3/4 decent tracks there though. Ugh at Nickelback actualyl having any votes

Record of the year.... to quote Ricky Tomlinson........ "MY ARSE" !!

Record of the year is actually the number 1 this Sunday. Nothing to touch it.

I quite agree :D

I think I should re-edit the bit that goes under my username to Kate Perry - it obviously wasn't Katy Perry that likes snogging girls.
That chart always particularly grates on me because they seem to get it badly wrong every year. I voted for Adele, just ahead of Coldplay, for the record.
To be honest I don't know why people vote towards it, Nickelback is such an old tired track, and it never gives a true indication of the best music of 2008, it should be renamed as The Joke Of The Year.

As Leona's not in the voting list then it is clearly a joke.

Its actually really close... but nickelback :puke:

:o Voted for Adele

Yikes - I don't like any of the top three.

And to those who are having a go at people voted for Nickelback - not everyone has the same tastes as you. Imagine how boring a world it would be if it was full of everything only you liked.
