December 1, 200816 yr i have yet to see britney sing live on anything i have ever seen on and i for me when someone has a voice as strong as ruth and she many bever get the career she deserves it annoys when britney pops in for million of pounds and doesnt even mime properly Britney's talent doesn't rely on singing, half the reason she is famous is her ability to entertain. And alot of people on BJ might not have liked it for that reason, but the performance went over well. It is back in the top 3 on itunes, and the album is selling well. With that being said Ruth has a great voice, but Britney is also a great dancer and whether you want to admit it or not she worked that stage with her energy and charisma, alot better then Ruth ever could. And people that say she has lost her dancing ability can look at the Circus video this Friday, because it has an amazing dance scene. She is getting back out there and slowly building back up to where she was, I can promise you that these 3 promo performances she did in Europe were mere ice breakers, because she hasn't properly performed in more then 4 years. With that being said, she probably shouldn't have performed on X-Factor because she didn't sing live, and if people are dissing the performance for that then fair enough, I can see that...but it seems as though alot of the press are attacking her as well which is not fair at all when people like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion have lip synced on the show with hardly a blink from the press ...atleast Britney is doing something besides JUST STANDING THERE. And when people have said that it was hardly better then her fiasco at the 2007 VMA's, that is when I call bull $h!t. The performance was great performance wise, I loved the fact that she was obviously having a hell of a good time, something I haven't seen from her in a very long time.
December 1, 200816 yr I hope Alex isnt predictable with Mariah, Whitney etc... Well what else would she sing?, being the versatile singer that she is...

Celine did NOT mime! her performance was awful - it was very live
December 1, 200816 yr Celine did NOT mime! her performance was awful - it was very live Well I remember fans were all upset about her lipping on some European show.
December 1, 200816 yr Well I remember fans were all upset about her lipping on some European show. That was her 'An Audience with..." I think. Which is even worse as the whole show was about her.

Mariah mimed AND just stood there so she had no excuse! I do remember seeing a live performance from Britney before myself, it may have been a long time ago but at least she has charisma and can actually do an entertaining performance unlike the majority of manufactured pop stars. I love how on YouTube there are comments like 'Alexandra is much better' etc.
December 1, 200816 yr Il Divo, should be erm...great. Britney Spears one week -> Il Divo. Erm, not so, erm spectacular.
December 3, 200816 yr Remember last year when Louis Walsh slated Same Difference and said they would never have a hit in a million years and wouldn't even be a one hit wonder. Look at this weeks chart Louis and eat your words.

I love how on YouTube there are comments like 'Alexandra is much better' etc. I agree with them personally. Alexandra performed a song (of Britney's) just as upbeat, moved just as much as Britney did, and while it wasn't her strongest vocal, it was a very good live vocal all the same. Much better than Britney's performance - not saying Alexandra is more of a star per se, Britney has star quality in droves, but I don't think it's odd people are saying Alex is better at all - your criteria appears to be putting on entertaining performances and having personality/charisma - both of which are no problem for her.
December 3, 200816 yr I met Alex/Diana last night. They were in the audience for 'The Girls Aloud Party'. Twas brief but they were actually both lovely. More than I was expecting anyway. Not that I ever expected to ever see them in the flesh, let alone speak to them s:

Well Britney became a star without a TV show and has been up there for ten years now but yet Alexandra is just singing other people's songs on a TV show, she's a competant singer and performer but how long will she last after the show? I do quite like as a personality even though she does come across as slightly fake sometimes. I want Diana to win anyway :P

December 5, 200816 yr Any rumours on possible song choices yet? (Yeah I know the list doesn't officialy get released until tommorrow) but Usually there are some rumours...
December 5, 200816 yr I like not knowing! Although last week I totally cheated and asked Alex's friend because I was so worried!
December 5, 200816 yr 'Wikipedia' <_< Says; JLS: Uptown Girl & I Just Called To Say I Love You Alexandra: Saving All My Love For You & All By Myself Eoghan: Unchained Melody & No Matter What Diana: We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You & The Blowers Daughter How vile are Eggnog's choices :puke:
December 5, 200816 yr Although it's the Damien Rice song I DIDN'T want to hear her sing, I am happy she picked a Damien Rice song though! :w00t: (If it's true!) Eoghan should actually be ok at NMW even if I do despise him and the song!

JLS - EUGH. Uptown Girl, EUGH. I Just Called To Say I Love You, EUGH. The black-westlife, non? Alexandra - Wow. Just shows how versatile she is as a singer, doesn't it not? Eoghan - Eugh. Unchained Melody comes as NO surprise (his mentor IS Simon Cowell) but No Matter What? :/ Eugh. I thought Simon Cowell was supposed to be the best Music Guru on the entire planet?! Diana - haha. Diana doing Queen (a Freddy Mercury vocal?! HA). and The Blowers Daughter, predictable. Tbh, the more I look at it, it seems like someone is just taking the piss out of the X-Factor by putting that on Wiki. :heehee:
