Posted December 1, 200816 yr Guys, I think we are about to see chart history this week. This album is going to sell by the truck load. Half a million in a week? Three quarters of a million? Don't mock until we see the sales figures. This is going to break all records! Reminder: Asda alone sold 300,000 copies of Mamma Mia DVD for £7 each last week in ONE day. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...icle1989794.ece
December 1, 200816 yr it will be big but it wont break history! No way will it do what oasis did in 1997 with "be here now'' sold 696,000copies in 3days and 813,000copies in it's full 7days on sale.
December 1, 200816 yr I think about 500k- it is the biggest album on pre-orders ever beating Coldplay's last one. What did that sell in it's first week?
December 1, 200816 yr I think about 500k- it is the biggest album on pre-orders ever beating Coldplay's last one. What did that sell in it's first week? Viva La Vida sold 302,074 first week.
December 1, 200816 yr let's not forget that a distributor called EUK sort of sends out 30% of CD's to stores, and therefore that may effect how well TT do
December 1, 200816 yr I got the album in Asda today, it says £6 on the label but goes through the till at £5.88 because of the VAT cut!
December 1, 200816 yr I was going to get the deluxe edition with the book but that costs £14.99, and £5.88 vs £14.99 for a book that I'll read once is a no brainer really
December 1, 200816 yr Says in The Sun that Asda have got their Take That stock straight from Universal Music. The guy in our Asda says he doubts they're even stocking Britney's as it hasn't come in today and he's heard they can't get it because of EUK.

December 1, 200816 yr :drama: Please tell me that you're joking :o :( No, he was doing the new chart and no Britney had come in today. He said they can't get them. Whether they will later in the week he doesn't know but it'll harm sales.
December 1, 200816 yr thats a shame! not even a fair fight for poor Brit even if she wasn't winning it!
December 1, 200816 yr The Take That Album will have gigantic Sales this Week. My Parents get 4 UK Tabloid Newspapers a Day, & there are large colour Adverts for the Album in ALL of them today. Most are by ASDA - saying that 'Circus' is only £6 there. 'The Sun' has an entire Page for that Advert. On top of that, Morrisons have Adverts in the Press too - again soley for the Take That Album - saying that it is £6.99 in their Stores. No other Album, (UK), has had so many Adverts in one Day this Year. And with it only being £6 at ASDA, it is obviously going to sell anything from 400,000 to 700,000 this Week. The Take That Album does NOT have the UK's biggest ever Pre-Orders, (Advance Sales). It was ONLY Play.com which said that - talking about its own Site/Company. It is not the same as saying that 'Circus' has the biggest Pre-Orders across the entire UK. Also, Pre-Orders do not necessarily mean that an Album will even end up in the All Time UK Top 100. 'Super Trouper' by ABBA, (1980), was the first UK Album to have 1 Million 'Pre-Sales', & that is not in the Top 100. Nor is 'Welcome To The Pleasure Dome', by Frankie Goes To Hollywood - 1,150,000 'Pre-Sales' in 1984. 'Be Here Now' by Oasis, had at least 1,200,000 'Pre-Sales', (1997), & that was only at No.84 in the 'All Time Top 100 Albums' in November 2006 - with a final Sale of just under 1,800,000.....
