Posted December 2, 200816 yr Cowell: I may quit 'The X Factor' Tuesday, December 2 2008, 07:32 GMT By David Balls Rex Features Simon Cowell has revealed that he may quit his role as a judge on The X Factor. The music mogul said he is considering giving up his position on the panel and moving behind the cameras. "I’m definitely not retiring," he told Live magazine. "But I am going to make a couple of changes. "The contracts are all up at the end of next year and what I may well do is stop actually being on TV. Give up the panel." Cowell, who turns 50 next year, admitted that his hectic schedule is taking its toll. "The thing that gets me is the schedule. Every day of my week is filled for the next year," he said. "[Fame]takes a lot and it’s something I never wanted. I’m a music business person."
December 2, 200816 yr Cowell is the best judge on X Factor - the show needs him! I'm sure it would be easy enough to find a bad-mannered, ill-informed, lacking in musical taste gobsh/te to take his place. The guy believes his own hype and sadly ... lots of other folk seem to believe it too! The guy is a tw*t! He'll never give up being in front of the cameras - he's a narcissist (sh/te - hope I've got the spelling on that right!) Oh and he's a w*nker too! Norma

Norma Oh, he is all those things, but he nearly always has the same opinion as me on the acts (Orville aside)!

December 2, 200816 yr As IF! :heehee: He loves the ego massage way too much to give it up! He'll be a judge as long as the show's going... He's a nice guy and a great business mind, he just inflicts some god awful music on us. :P
December 3, 200816 yr I'd suggest getting rid of Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh. Bring in someone like Lulu and Tom Jones. Or even bring over Randy Jackson from the US Lulu was great with her comments last Saturday and showed she'd be a great mentor. Edited December 3, 200816 yr by Euro Music

Of COURSE Cowell wont give up being in front of camera... Another NON-story this....
December 5, 200816 yr Fuck that Seconded. Or Randy. Keep the four we've got, it's been a wicked series. Simon is my least favourite but it just wouldn't be the same without him.
January 12, 200916 yr Not as unlikely as it may seem, doubt it will happen but its possible, we saw a much bitchier and nastier Louis Walsh in this last series infact he was nastier than Cowell so if Cowell quit then Walsh would be the "Mr Nasty"
January 13, 200916 yr Seconded. Or Randy. Keep the four we've got, it's been a wicked series. Simon is my least favourite but it just wouldn't be the same without him. My least favourite has got to be Louis Walsh - he wouldn't know talen if it slapped him in the face. Look who he manages - talentless PESTLIFE
January 13, 200916 yr Like him or hate him Cowell IS X Factor, he quit as a judge the viewing figures will drop by millions as his comments particularly the fun of watching deluded teenage girls collapse in floods of tears at his comments in the auditions is the best entertainment on tv outside of Top Gear
