9: Same Difference - Pop

http://images.play.com/covers/6186307x.jpg

This may come as a shock to some, but not necessarily all. This album, is actually Incredible! But wait they've beat Leona?? Yes they have, but Leona had the disadvantage of it being a Re-Release. This album is sooo good! It takes me back to the days where I was young and they remind me of some of the good old day's. Their debut single, 'We R One' is one of the most infectious, catchiest songs you will probably hear this year! This album, is such a guilty pleasure!

Favourite Tracks: 'We R One', 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now', 'I Need a House', 'If U Can't Dance' & 'Better Love Me'
Least Favourites: 'All The Roads Lead To Heaven'

8: Basshunter - Now You're Gone (The Album)

http://images.play.com/covers/5890256x.jpg

Next up at number 8, is the debut album from Swedish Dance DJ Basshunter. Who has no doubt become the biggest dance act of 2008. I Love 'Now You're Gone' the single. So I just had to buy this, and I am so happy I did! It took me by surprise and (obviously) become one of my fave albums of the year. He has released, the correct songs, but 'I Miss You' is flopping so bad! (Undeservedly) as it's my favourite off of the album!

Favourite Tracks: 'Now You're Gone', 'All I Ever Wanted', 'I Miss You', 'Angel in the Night' & 'Love You More'
Least Favourites: 'I Can Walk on Water' & 'Russia Privjet'
Same Difference AND Basshunter in the top ten  that is dreadful, oh well at least Bloc Party will be number 1.
Love You More is  that should have been a single...other than that, I agree that he's made the right choices but then again I thought that What Is Happening was the right choice for Alphabeat and look what happened there :(

7: Alphabeat - This Is Alphabeat

http://images.play.com/covers/5334546x.jpg

In at number 7, is an album which I'm pretty sure most of you will be shocked at how low I have placed it. Alphabeat are one of my favourite new acts this year and are one of my favourite bands this past few years. There album is nothing short of brilliance, and it deserved so much more in the charts. The main reason as to why it's low down is because, the albums above this have all had more plays and not got tiring. I am actually quite bored of this at the moment. But tbh I haven't listened to the labum in like, 3 months. So maybe the boredom has worn off. Also it's too bloody short! At just 35 - 40 minutes :drama:

Favourite Tracks: 'Fascination', 'Boyfriend', & 'What Is Happening?'
Least Favourites: 'Rubber Boots'

6: Ne-Yo - The Year of the Gentleman

http://images.play.com/covers/5500829x.jpg

Next at 6, is the new king of R&B IMO. Forget about Usher, Ne-Yo is the current King of R&B. Although his previous 2 albums were a bit of a let down, he has managed to produce some corkers on this album. He is one of the most talented, Singer-Songwriters of today, and I don't think he gets as much recognition for it as he quite frankly deserves. "Part of the List" is an amazing R&B ballad. and has Become my fave on the album, along with his singles!

Favourite Tracks: 'Closer', 'Single', 'Mad', 'Miss Independant' & 'Part of the List'
Least Favourites: 'Why Does She Stay'

Puke @ NeYo,

 Alphabeat  I love/adore Rubber Boots though! :o

Havent got Ne-Yo's album but i adore This Is Alphabeat, should definatly be somewhere in my top 10 end of year albums.

I wasnt that impressed with Alphabeat's album as I was hoping to be. Ting Tings were much better.

Not heard Ne-Yo's but like all 3 singles so far...

Not quite there yet, will comment later

 OK Martin! :heehee:

Top 5 will most likely come tomorrow! ^_^

Ne-Yo is fairly well respected I'd say:

one of the biggest selling singles of the year plus a top ten follow up, and a No.2 album which is still selling well!

Alphabeat so low, such a great pop album, I'm gutted they've been dropped

5: OneRepublic - Dreaming Out Loud

http://images.play.com/covers/3560180x.jpg

into the Top 5 now, and kicking things off for us is the amazing, OneRepublic. Who have come up with a beautifully mesmerizing Pop album. The lyrics are very well written and prove that Ryan Tedder is one hell of a singer/songwriter. The tracks are quite deep and meaningful and you understand the lyrics to the full. They are most known for their huge hit's 'Apologize' (Famously mixed by Timbaland) & 'Stop & Stare'. However their 3rd & 4th singles, deserved to be their biggest hits, but flopped real bad.

Favourite Tracks: 'Say (All I Need)', 'Mercy', 'Stop & Stare', 'Apologize' & 'Dreaming Out Loud'
Least Favourites: 'Goodbybe Apathy' & 'Tyrant'

4: The Killers - Day & Age

http://images.play.com/covers/6167277x.jpg

At number is an album which some of you may reply "What? Only Number 4 :o?" etc... but I've only just got the album. I do think it is their best record yet, as it's their most commercial album, and I really am a sucker for commercial music . This is a fantastic and under-rated album from The Killers. I can see why some people may dislike it, as it's a bit different from their last two albums, but I just love this album so much. The more plays it gets, the more I am thinking it deserves Top 3. Ask me in a month or so and I bet you this will be Top 3 -_-

Favourite Tracks: 'Human', 'Spaceman', 'A Dustland Fairytale' & 'This Is Your Life'
Least Favourites: 'I Can't Stay'
