Managed by pop impresario Louis Walsh (later a judge on THE X FACTOR, the UK's version of AMERICAN IDOL), Boyzone was Ireland's answer to the swell of boy bands that dominated the late-1990s pop scene. Led by heartthrob lead singer Ronan Keating alongside Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Stephen Gately and Mikey Graham, Boyzone had several years' worth of hits including "Key To My Life" and "So Good" before splitting in 2000. Ronan Keating went on to a successful solo career in Ireland, while Stephen Gately pursued a visible career in musical theatre. - HMV

A popular Hollywood burlesque act, the Pussycat Dolls emerged as mainstream fixtures when they became an outlet for big-name celebrities looking to embrace their inner sex kittens. As a musical act, the Dolls scored huge hits with a familiar albeit infectious brand of dance pop helmed by top-notch producers like Timbaland and Will.I.Am. Their 2005 single, "Don't Cha," could be heard in bars, dance clubs, and malls, and emanating from cell phones and I-pods, the world over. - HMV

Swedish techno artist Basshunter (Jonas Altberg) stormed the European dance charts in 2006 with the propulsive club anthem "Boten Anna." The following year Altberg cracked the American market with an English-language version of the single entitled "Now You're Gone," cementing his status as an international dance phenomenon. Basshunter's UK debut, NOW YOU'RE GONE, hit the top of the album charts in July 2008. - HMV

I can't believe this Xmas Carol has been this way, Last night me and my mother heard a version of this song from Barry Manilow and he did it in a big band type of way, I predicted this song will reach the top 30 next week before falling like a stone the week after.

Whoops two weeks were missing from my source :o

wham last christmas 1985 to 86 run

its 32 10 6 6 14 36

Yeah, for the seond PCD song I ever liked, it's done quite bad :(

Poor PCD. :(

'I Hate This Part' is such an epic song, hopefully it'll stick around for a bit after the christmas period?

I'm glad Boyzone flopped. 'Better' is such a heartfelt song done much better by Tom Baxter.
:puke2: Boyzone looked like 5 pervy old men on the x factor

I don't think how 'I Hate This Part' has done is a reflection on the song, it's just because their album has been a mega flop and people aren't interested in them any more.

Although if the awful 'When I Throw Up' can get top 3, this infinitely better song should have got at least top 10. :(
