...by returning to XI :kink:

enough of that...or I'll send Up All Night :arrr:

I have no problems with changing my mind at the last minute remember :P

probably would have done worse than Thermostatic

Bohemian Rhapsody would quite probably flop, even in a cheap contest...it doesn't strike me as the sort of thing most of Buzzjack would like

and where is this ESC national finals adjusted rule anyway :kink:

Oh yes, thank you for reminding me :smoke:

How's this for a proposal people? :o Seeing as Eurovision doesn't dominate this forum anywhere near as much as it does over at the NSC (seeing as that was set up on a Eurovision forum ), I propose that we modify the rules forbidding songs that participate in National Finals, instead only forbidding songs that participate in the British and Irish national finals, and the final of the Swedish Melodifestivalen (so, to elaborate, you may not enter a song in the early stages of Melodifestivalen if it is still in the contest, but eliminated ones are fair game - if you want to tap up the flops that is ). This would open up the contest to all sorts of efforts from around Europe that I doubt many people would've heard of or noticed anyway given the lack of attention paid to the early stages of national finals even in the Eurovision forum itself here, and would also provide a fresh mining ground for entries!

What do people think then? ^_^ I expect nothing other than utter outrage at this proposal from Herzebania of course :P

Oh god yes, how I recall  I actually quite liked the chorus of that...the verses would've put you right at the bottom of the leaderboard though :P

controversial, so many new options :o

FSR Rontvia XIV:

and if Herzebania don't send Androla's One Love at some point I will be very upset

Hmmm...I know that covers of songs already entered aren't allowed. Samples on the other hand, to my knowledge, are :o

We REALLY need a definitive rule book

And 6weeksatnumber7, that would be so hideously cheap I'd have to shoot you :(

Are you allowed to send originals if a cover has already been entered?

Oh god yes, how I recall  I actually quite liked the chorus of that...the verses would've put you right at the bottom of the leaderboard though :P

BJSC will never be ready for Norwegian rap...

well unless Madcon come up with something bearable :heehee:

No.

You can send a song once, regardless of who sang it.

So if i sent The Sugababes version of Spiralling, then the original couldn't be sent

Oh yes, thank you for reminding me :smoke:

no, as that made it into the ESC, albeit not to the finals criminally :(

Shame  I would actually LOVE to send that!

it might actually withstand the language barrier too

it has top 5 written all over it!

Unfortunately not :( Once a song's been sent, it cannot be sent in another form - although this does raise the question as to when a sample/interpolation becomes a cover

Mostly because it was in English for most of it, so it's not so much a language barrier as a language molehill - even then only for those so xenophobic they can't bear the idea of a foreign phrase in a song :P

maybe even a foreign title puts some people off

so would T.I's Swagga Like Us be an acceptable entry then, bearing in mind Paper Planes participation?

Well, it just samples Paper Planes...whereas Colour Me Pjanoo would just be the same song with a different backing track, and therefore no different from a cover :P

Oh yes, thank you for reminding me :smoke:

only forbidding songs that participate in the British and Irish national finals

What do people think then? ^_^

Pffft...thats stupid...why allow some and not allow some :( It's not really fair to the ones that are in the UK, Medowhatever amnd Irish finlas is it??? :( Also it measns i STILL can't enter Big Bro Thang :P Which is my favourite song of last year along woth Rihanna's Shut Up And Drive :P
