There was huge hype over a couple of songs in BJSC XII (Frankmusik is one I remember) which I'm sure aided in the long run when voting came along.

FSR Rontvia make xmas day announcement regarding BJSCXIII

Amid accusations from the Rontvian public of sending Charlotte Hatherley to fit in with the widening indie crowd on BJSC, FSR Rontvia have once again done a u-turn on their entry and have firmly made a choice on what to send to BJSCXIII. FSR Rontvia's 13th entry will be M.A.G.I.C by rising Swedish male duo The Sound Of Arrows. The duo, who have been tipped for big things by online music bible Popjustice have a sound that is like crossing Kleerup with Justice. Although not as BJSC-friendly perhaps as some of Rontvia's poppier former entries, it represents the quickly changing music tastes of a nation who have recently seen Killers and Kings Of Leon songs in their top ten for the first time ever. The RTVN assured the public that this would be the final change, and that The Sound Of Arrows are signed and ready for XIII in Kopecka. Charlotte Hatherley and Pixie were supportive of the decision, understanding that Rontvia is keen to have success with a male act, and hope to be able to represent the country at some point in the not too distant future.

Its CHRIIIIISTMAAAAAS!

Allo everybody have been pretty busy in the build up to the big day so my appologees for the lack of attendance but hey atleast I'm here now ^_^

Have got so much catching up to do (largely with the hundreds of Rontvian entries) but I would like to assure everyone that LIGHTS will still the Kingdom of Shadow's entry next month!

Lorikeet confirm Girls Aloud

Lorikeet officials have now confirmed that Girls Aloud will reprosent the country with what is possibly the least cheap song possible from the fab 5 - Singapore. Nicola is quoted "We are the best selling act in Lorikeet of all time so it shall be an honour to reprosent such a great country." It is hoped the girls will have sucsess similar to last month's Kelly Osbourne, who finished 4th

these embedded youtube videos suddenly all look massive on my computer :o

I have to confess that I listen to hardly any of the songs before the voting starts so won't be giving opinions just yet

Youtube has been undergoing changes recently with High Definition content now available :o

http://uk.youtube.com/browse?s=mphd&c=0&l=&b=0

Also the resolution was changed a few weeks ago making it widescreen, i'd imagine this is just another additional feature. ;) Maybe one day there will be tons of HD content.

The youtube videos are annoying me, they looked much better when they were smaller <_<

Merry xmas :cheer:

and it's only the third one :kink:

and the final one :P

Hiya. I have a question. You see, this is my first BJSC competitions, and I would like to know, how do tours work?
It's some kind of 'promotion', just a silly thing :heehee: You can 'plan' tour for your artist if you want and post in countries' threads about how the each show went :o
So, how do you get your country to be a host. I dont know how to put it. Erm.. how do I get, for example, Lights to perform in my country. And, do I just decide myself where my act performs and when?
Ojnoj Update:

Michelle Branch is considering on re-appearing for the next contest. "I have been watching the BJSC ever since I failed to represent Ojnoj as I was beaten by the breath taking Gavin in BJSC VII, NF's. I would really like 'All I Wanted' to represent Ojnoj at some point of the competition." Leader Luchovitz has said, "Yes, it's true. We will definately be re-considering for her to enter again and give it a go at some stage."

Meanwhile: Here is Ojnoj's latest entry Yolanda Adams - I Believe

I don't think you can get Lights to perform in your country, you can only notice that you would really want to see them in your country :kink:

Yes, you decide when and where your entry performs :D

Pavel, you're a star. Lights is just an example, because I saw that video when I scrolled down the page :)

Thankyou :)

You do them if you want them :P You basically just post in each country's thread the details of the performance - they tend to work better when not everyone does them though, so be warned :P It does seem as though there is a positive correlation between doing tours and getting a good result though so it wouldn't be wasted!

It's normally done randomly with no control on your part, but if you want someone to perform you can ask - it's rare a nation will say no to an offer for promotion! :P And you can decide randomly where, when and how often your act performs - but remember that in lots of cases less is more! :P

I'm officially waiting for the moment Kopečka make their decision :kink: Eledan's future is in your hands, host nation :kink:
