December 21, 200816 yr kylie! i dont know or care what with! lol IIRC, she *does* have some sort of collaboration with Coldplay in the can...
December 21, 200816 yr Lady Gaga and Lily Allen are the two obvious ones for me. I definitely agree about Lily Allen, not quite as sure about Lady GaGa, though I *can* see her going T3.
December 21, 200816 yr Run-Leona Lewis and Just dance have a great potential..after Alexandra decay leona will grow up for sure..
December 21, 200816 yr  at Trashlexis dredging up Martin's old personal charts to prove a point :heehee: I do wonder how the Hallelujah's will hold up into the new year but I would assume that Lady Gaga/Kid Cudi would be more likely to overtake Alexandra as opposed to something already inside the chart... Girls Aloud vs. Take That is apparently a confirmed duet for Comic Relief and apparently it's a new song as opposed to a cover...I can't wait for it, should be a certain No.1!

December 21, 200816 yr Hopefully Green Day get a number one with their comeback. Then that'll make up for them being beat to number one by bleedin' Westlife in 06
December 21, 200816 yr Just having a look at previous X Factors winners sales, by weeks 4 their sales are near 30k. Ok so Alex could do slightly better but i'd say by week 4 Gaga or even Leona will have leapfrogged her. 52 31 Dec 742,180 Shayne Ward That’s My Goal 01 07 Jan 132.284 Shayne Ward That’s My Goal 02 14 Jan 54,152 Shayne Ward That’s My Goal 03 21 Jan 31,724 Shayne Ward That’s My Goal 52 30 Dec 571,253 Leona A Moment Like This 53 06 Jan 128.077 Leona Lewis A Moment Like This 02 13 Jan 39.000 Leona Lewis A Moment Like This 03 20 Jan 20.400 Leona Lewis A Moment Like This 52 29 Dec 275.742 Leon Jackson When You Believe 01 05 Jan 119.927 Leon Jackson When You Believe 02 12 Jan 32.098 Leon Jackson When You Believe Thanks to Haven for sale figures
December 21, 200816 yr Hmmmm. Thing is, I think people are clearly growing tired of the X Factor. Personally I love it, but I know a lot of people that don't. I'm just thinking if Jeff Buckley keeps selling at it's current rate, maybe that's not too likely, but I could see Jeff leapfrogging Alexandra in week 2 or 3...
December 21, 200816 yr I could also see Jeff Buckley's Greatest Hits going to number one in the albums in January the week before Franz Ferdinand

December 21, 200816 yr Lol i was reading through Martin's archive chart a few weeks back and i noticed he did chart Smile by Lily so it proves someone is lying :o Oh wait he's charted 2 of her songs  Anyways i think Lady G might do an adele for some reason :( But i hope she does get No.1 Edited December 21, 200816 yr by KJ Christmas Rob
December 21, 200816 yr I'm not so sure. The appeal of X Factor is clearly decreasing. If they can get something like the Jeff campaign organised a bit earlier next ywar, and/or the winner is unpopular or the song is bad, they have a risk of not making number one with the next X Factor winner.
December 21, 200816 yr Where did my post go  Anyhow, Mr Blue Sky was a one off, as it was a cover version which was really good, and I literally forgot I did chart Smile -_-
December 21, 200816 yr Where did my post go  Anyhow, Mr Blue Sky was a one off, as it was a cover version which was really good, and I literally forgot I did chart Smile -_- Her most prominent hit to date :heehee:
December 21, 200816 yr Well I can see the following going to number one over here: Lady GaGa (ft. Colby O'Donis) - Just Dance = It's going to be everywhere at the start of next year, a huge tune in 2009. It's already been #1 on the UK iTunes top videos so you can already tell it's going to be a success! Lily Allen - The Fear = A great comeback single for Lily, and it shows she can be versatile as this is nothing like her previous singles. I can see this getting to number one for sure. Kid Cudi vs. Crookers - Day N Night = Another huge hit in 2009, this will be played in clubs everywhere. Very strong no. 1 contender! Taylor Swift - Love Story = She is releasing her new material over here next year and I can see her getting loads of hype. You don't really see country-pop singers in the charts these days but Taylor will break the mould and I have a really positive feeling she'll get a no. 1 hit over here with Love Story. If not no. 1 then definitely top 3. Other possible no. 1 hits: Black Eyed Peas - their long awaited comeback single Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You = apparently it's got a similar vibe as P!nk's 'Who Knew' so I can see this doing really well. Britney Spears - Circus = hopefully a no. 1 for Brit with Circus, although I have a feeling she'll do a PoM and halt at #2 just missing the top spot. Robbie Williams - his comeback single is bound to sell well, another no. 1 for him? Who knows! U2 and their new single. Edited December 21, 200816 yr by callum.
December 21, 200816 yr Imo, these are potential chart toppers in early 09: Lady Gaga - Just Dance Kid Cudi vs Crookers – Day ‘n’ Nite Lily Allen – The Fear Britney Spears - Circus Shontelle – T-Shirt T.I. feat Justin Timberlake – Dead And Gone
December 21, 200816 yr I thoroughly can't wait until 2009-just because for the first time in 12 weeks the charts won't be dominated by X-Factor. Looking at what is likely to be this weeks top5, you wouldn't even notice its the Christmas charts. I don't think I've seen such a drab top 4 all year.
