September 7, 200817 yr Surely it's time September and Sara Bareilles be taken off, given they're not even in the top 40 anymore.
September 7, 200817 yr Author Surely it's time September and Sara Bareilles be taken off, given they're not even in the top 40 anymore. Agreed. Instead they removed the One Republic song that's yet to be released. And they also removed Gabriella Cilmi's 2nd single but kept Sweet About Me instead.
September 8, 200817 yr R.I.O - Shine On *NEW* This is a song I'm mixing in my club since July  xox.
September 8, 200817 yr Dido´s songs are always A-listed as soon as they are sent to radio stations... It debuts on both BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 today!!!
September 8, 200817 yr Agreed. Instead they removed the One Republic song that's yet to be released. And they also removed Gabriella Cilmi's 2nd single but kept Sweet About Me instead. Well that's more understandable given Sweet About Me is still top 30, and Save The Lies has bombed. I also note there's no sign of the current top 10 single from the current #1 album from the Verve. Yet they find room for September still?
September 8, 200817 yr Author I think they work a bit like Radio 1, but with different genres. Instead of indie-rock staying long on their playlist, its usually pop, urban or dance which stays for an eternity.
September 8, 200817 yr Agreed. Instead they removed the One Republic song that's yet to be released. And they also removed Gabriella Cilmi's 2nd single but kept Sweet About Me instead. They appear to pay more attention to the charts then :heehee:. Its a poor playlist compared to last year but theres are an alright mixture of genre's. Shame current big singles such as Biffy Clyro and The Verve AREN'T there. They represent a lot of why the chart is so slow, because the have playlisted most the pop/r&b in the top 40. I'd imagine they strictly follow this though because most stations play a lot of old stuff aswell.
September 8, 200817 yr Author they are the first ones to playlist most of the big pop releases. As for the rock stuff, Radio 1 fills that void alot better (they actually playlisted The Verve, was removed this week).
September 8, 200817 yr they are the first ones to playlist most of the big pop releases. As for the rock stuff, Radio 1 fills that void alot better (they actually playlisted The Verve, was removed this week). Yeah its just a shame there isn't one really good station :P .
September 9, 200817 yr Dido is in both Capital FM and BBC (Radio 1 and Radio 2)!!! Just one week of release!
September 9, 200817 yr I cant find her on the BBC Radio playlists. It debuted yesterday, but their playlist is only updated wednesday.
September 9, 200817 yr It debuted yesterday, but their playlist is only updated wednesday. So its not actually on their playlist yet?
September 10, 200817 yr So its not actually on their playlist yet? Well, it debuted this monday, but the playlist on the website is not updated... That´s what her official website says. I believe it goes straight to a-list, cause even the smallest hits from her previous albums went, and a comeback single for the most sucessful british female of the century doesn´t happen every day...
September 10, 200817 yr Oh dear... she might be the most successful british of the century but her new single is awful! It's so unfair if she get hype from the radio just for her name and not for actual quality...
September 10, 200817 yr Oh dear... she might be the most successful british of the century but her new single is awful! It's so unfair if she get hype from the radio just for her name and not for actual quality... Well, that´s just your opinion, but many people including myself are loving it... The reviews so far have been extremely positive. So I don´t think all the hype is undeserved after all. In fact, 100% of her sales have happened because people liked her music and no other reason. Unlike other popstars she has not built herself a diva image or either became an entertainer, and has minimal publicity over her private life, so I´d say 100% of her hype is due to the music itself and no other reason... So far, all pop comeback singles have generated negative reaction, including Christina Aguilera and Anastacia´s new singles, and mainly Sugababes´ Girls. Some of them were hated even by fans themselves, just look at the Sugababes Girls topic. If a song so universally hated like that is still tiped for a #1, then I don´t see why Dido´s new one can´t be too. It´s impossible to please everyone!
