Cutting a song short

Repeating, selective, info, old songs and talking crap are my pet peeves :drama:

Gosh just tuned into Capital, and they define the "repeating old songs" to an extreme. They just played Disturbia, When I Grow Up, I Kissed A Girl, Man Who Can't Be Moved and Forgive Me :rolleyes:

Gosh, BJ is full of whingers :lol: Are any of these things actually THAT annoying? All I voted for was 'talking over song intros/outros' because sometimes they're the best parts of songs...

 

What's by far the worst thing is the constant adverts on commercial radio. They're every five minutes! That should've been in the poll!

I hate:

Selective playlists ignoring songs and genres your like - Terrible, most of my favourite songs i never seem to hear on the radio nowadays :(

Not mentioning the name of a song or artist - Sometimes theres a song i REALLY like, they dont mention the name of it and i never hear it again...its not good :(

Playing old songs for months and months on end and hardly adding new ones - I hate this...i used to listen to SGR alot...but since they've been taken over by Global Radio (or whatever its called) they've played barely any new song, completely removed song requests, and got rid of the best radio shows (mostly interactive like Late Night Love, Music Control etc.) also, since being renamed Heart a few weeks ago...i haven't heard a single new song :( (that i hadn't heard previously on the radio)

Dj's talking far too much crap and harldy playing any music - I listen to the radio to listen to music...unless its supposed to be a chat show or something like Late Night Love

Playing remixes or different versions of songs you love that ruin them - :( Kiss is a prime candidate of this :(

 

Cutting a song short - Sometimes Radio Edits are good, so i didn't tick this...sometimes they are $h!t (aka Sara Bareilles - Love Song)

^^yeah but Kiss you kinda expect that, since its a dance/urban station, they have to playlist remixes of pop songs. Radio 1 on the other hand could easily play the originals, yet they play weird versions of Disturbia, Hot N Cold, etc...

 

and Jark, they're EXTREMELY annoying, all of them :D Forgot about ads, I guess we dont get them that much here.

Repeating Songs over and over again, and playing really old songs= unimaginative playlist. My #1 pet hate, not just of radio but of ALL.

 

I'd like to thing i don't whinge but yuhno... :P

Cutting a song short - I don't mind if I hear more songs

Playing remixes or different versions of songs you love that ruin them - I like hearing remixes from time to time, as long as they play the regular version sometimes too

 

The worst though is repeating the same song many times a day. The two most popular local stations in my area Galaxy and TFM are massive culprits for this, especially Galaxy. It's like they only have 10 songs :manson: Is Galaxy the same across the country though?
