January 20, 200916 yr Oh my god... horrifically generic. I could've predicted virtually everything from that list. AWFUL. Just praying P!nk wins international female...
January 20, 200916 yr No international breakthrough. :o I don't remember Killers being international, not British...
January 20, 200916 yr Hope P!nk gets the award for her one nomination. and that Duffy gets some too. oh and the killers too. apart from that i'm not really interested. Predictable nominations. And surely, after receiving critics choice award (biggest farce ever) last year, Adele should be diqualified from British Breakthrough. Dido was is 2002 because she'd been nominated in the 2001 awards. Edited January 20, 200916 yr by T Boy
January 20, 200916 yr Really hope M.I.A. and Santogold win (although unlikely), along with Coldplay. No international breakthrough. :o I don't remember Killers being international, not British... They're American!
January 20, 200916 yr . British Male Solo Artist Ian Brown James Morrison Paul Weller The Streets Will Young :yahoo:
January 20, 200916 yr Ting Tings? Hallelujah in this version ? Hero in this version? Wow - were they release at Sony? Absolutely horrific :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: . This are the worst nomination i ever saw. Such a pity that the album of Shadowpuppets was not nominated. Oh well, at least tehy will walk with the British Breakthrough Act award....
January 20, 200916 yr Author In all honesty those nominations are AWFUL! Leona should have "Run" up for Best Single not "Better In Time" Leona should be up for Best Female Girls Aloud should be up for Best Group The Saturdays should be up for Best Single with "Up"
January 20, 200916 yr Santogold  :w00t: International Group and International Album categories have same bands  :o
January 20, 200916 yr No Leona (other than best single), Rihanna, Chris Brown or Taio Cruz :arrr: :( Good to see Gabriella Cilmi got a nod and Girls Aloud got 2 but i was expecting Best Album for them aswell. Hopefully Duffy will win a few
January 20, 200916 yr These must be fake surely! Ian Brown??? What the f*** has he done last year? Also, SFG Breakthrough when they were in 2007?? No The Script? No Leona up for British Female, despite being one of the biggest selling artists of last year, AGAIN! Just shows what a Joke The Brits have now become -_- They're trying harder than Radio 1 to fit in with the "kids" <_< Edited January 20, 200916 yr by Hand-Jon
January 20, 200916 yr In all honesty those nominations are AWFUL! Girls Aloud should be up for Best Group Ahhh, aren't they???
January 20, 200916 yr My opinion on the winners (italics - who i want to win, bold - who i think will): British Male Solo Artist Ian Brown James Morrison Paul Weller The Streets Will Young British Female Solo Artist Adele Beth Rowley Duffy Estelle M.I.A. British Group Coldplay Elbow Girls Aloud Radiohead Take That British Single Adele - 'Chasing Pavements' Alexandra Burke - 'Hallelujah' Coldplay - 'Viva La Vida' Dizzee Rascal ft. January 20, 200916 yr Author Erm... They are ;) haha! i was soo stressed about Leona I overlooked that one haha!
January 20, 200916 yr Leona has only released two 'new' songs in the last year-Forgive Me and Footprints In The Sand. Technically didn't she record 'Run' in 2007 in the Live Lounge. and Run technically wasn't a single so perhaps that is why it is not nominated-but then was Viva La Vida actually a single? I can't remember. And as for Leona's huge selling album-it is the same one she had last year, she's just been milking it for all its worth and succeeding this year. If they didn't recognise her last year, they're not going to this year.
January 20, 200916 yr Why does everyone seem upset at the nominations. Everyone does the same every year. Pop shouldn't dominate the awards it's not the POP award nor should rock/rap/dance. I think it has the right mix of genres. But I admit I was very shocked to see Iron Maiden nominated
