December 31, 200915 yr The management are 100% to blame for this. The amount of f*** up's they've done in the last few months has been amazing. a. Totally wrong lead single b. Releasing the album after just one single. It took Girls Aloud years to do this, why would it make sense for The Sats to do it on the second album c. Leaving no gap between Work and Forever Is Over at all The themeing. The promo. The performing! Im sorry but making them mime is an awful decision. Have you seen Vanessa trying to mime, the microphone is miles from the girls mouth most of the time. SACK THE MANAGEMENT NOW! Saying that. Say Fascination do drop them. Would there be a point. Girls Cant Catch and Sophie Ellis Bextor aint bringing in any money are they and are unlikely to do so. Girls Aloud wont continue forever. They might aswell keep them on. Surely they can see the potential in their popularity. Plus if they do get dropped I will just go into mourning and lament the Pop Forum with WE REMEMBER THE GOOD DAYS threads :( We don't know they are being made to mime though. I'd like to think they are just so I'm not blaming them for it but it could be their choice.
January 1, 201015 yr Fascination have made some right cock ups last year with all their acts. Firstly uou have the silly idea of launching Wordshaker off the back of one single. Then there's the idea that Girls Aloud will go top 10 with Untouchable with only a single performance weeks before release. Releasing Mini Viva's I Wish on the same week as The X Factor and such - one of the most bizarre decisions ever - did they really think it was going to do well?

As true as that is, the label don't appear to learn from their mistakes.
January 1, 201015 yr Their respective manager's must be somewhat to blame to, I feel labels always get the hassle. The Saturdays, these are my views with how they've gone so far: Over If This Is Love, Up, Chasing Lights and Issues everything seemed to be going really naturally and at a good pace for a new band. Suddenly came the Comic Relief single, a theatre tour, an ambitious fifth single from the debut, sponsorship deals - putting their name to anything, adverts, almost immediately rushing into a brand new single and a sophomore album. It's almost hard to believe they're already on their 7th single after just 18 months! I think it's been too much too soon, and the demand isn't there for such an onslaught. Something about The Sats just isn't quite clicking at the moment, in my opinion. I feel they tried to rush their success throughout 2009 - trying to make people believe that they were huge already. I also feel that their image is too inconsistent. From one release to the next you don't know whether they're the rainbow coloured pop group, camp and 80s, sexy & sultry in black, Kelly Clarkson-lite, cheesey pop. I think the only consistent thing since Issues is that they're trying to be marketed as sexy sirens, and I think so early into their career that was a bad decision, so soon after the initial marketing of each girl having their own colour thing.
January 1, 201015 yr Author As much as I hate having to compare them to Girls Aloud, I suppose were just going to have to. They left off roughly 6-7 months between Jump and The Show and it would have been wise for The Sats to have done the same and only leak Forever Is Over now for a Feb release and such, releasing the album after the second single in May, which would give them a nice peak due it not being in the run-up to Xmas and then continue releasing a few singles. Jay, makes an excellent as to that the public were rather rushed into liking them and it didnt work. If Girls Aloud had released an album this year, things might have actually have been better for them. Fascination *probably* would have allowed them to continue with their Chasing Lights image and not mature to appeal to more of Girls Aloud's audience. They need to stick to an image now and the what worked was the different colours. They should go back to that, as sticking them in sexy black dresses and trying to make them Girls Aloud will not work.
January 3, 201015 yr any news on where the album is this week? I hope this era doesnt finish the sats, they need to get together a brilliant 3rd album! I believe that the public want to like them and with a strong lead single they could be a success... this album is good all around but there is no huge hit there, forever is over and ego are just not big enough songs, they aren't relevant and they have not done anything to make someone buy the album who isnt a sats fan! maybe they'll release an all together different 3rd single and re-release the album. they gotta do somethin!
January 6, 201015 yr Does anyone know where Chasing Lights & Wordshaker charted and sold this week? :)
January 7, 201015 yr Does anyone know where Chasing Lights & Wordshaker charted and sold this week? :) I'd like to know too tbh. 'Wordshaker' should have sold more than 'Chasing Lights' last week due to it being in the Top 100 iTunes album chart.
January 9, 201015 yr Fridays mids show Wordshaker up from #144 to #112 - coincidentally this was CL's position last week and its down to #131.
January 10, 201015 yr Sadly didn't hold onto Fridays position. Fell to #122 with 1814 [total 49,736] :( - CL @ #136 sold 1643 - total: 316,243
January 10, 201015 yr That is really bad. A generally well received single going top 10 and the album's still not within sniffing distance of the top 100 and furthermore has yet to sell 50k in total.
January 10, 201015 yr Author  Thats appalling! I was hoping we'd at least be close to 100k now....
January 10, 201015 yr  Thats appalling! I was hoping we'd at least be close to 100k now.... Well, apart from the adverts on TV promoting the album, what else exactly said "our new album 'wordshaker' is out on blah blah blah :D" ... ??
January 11, 201015 yr Abysmal! I'm still surprised to see the album £9.99 in shops! Whilst most/other albums have been reduced in the sales etc... That's surely not helping them?
January 12, 201015 yr 60+6 in mids today! Hopefully can climb more :D *blinks* what..? it's back in the top 100? :|
