Though a batch of 1980s-New Wave-inspired bands started making noise in the early 2000s, it wasn't until the Killers' 2004 debut album HOT FUSS (and its crossover hits "Somebody Told Me" and "Mr. Brightside") that the style really broke through to the mainstream. Heavily indebted to the likes of the Smiths, Psychedelic Furs, et al, the Las Vegas, NV quartet brought a contemporary sense of urgency to their retro-loving dance-rock sound and taught a new generation of kids that it doesn't have to be disco to be dance music. For follow-up SAM'S TOWN, the group obviously feasted on a gorge of Bruce Springsteen style rock, and while the sound boasted a slightly harder edge, the group retained the critics' and fans' adoration. - HMV

Love this, but Spaceman should have been bigger :(

I'm certain that Circus would've got top five if Jive hadn't totally screwed up the release.

It's hard to believe that blandness such as "Human" is doing so well over "Spaceman". My favourite from them is "Somebody Told Me". (though I've only heard about 4 songs of theirs!)

Thanks God Miley dropped down :D

I'm really quite annoyed that this is still so high when the far superior 'Spaceman' peaked at #40 and is now out. :(

Agreed. :(

SoF is probably top 20 yet again, unless they are next. Unlikely. =/

AAR are probably next or something

I don't agree with Spaceman being superior to Human. Frankly, I was sursprised since the beginning that they were going to release Spaceman as it's relatively a weak track. Human is great however the best track off their last album is definitely "I Can't Stay"! Go The Killers :D
I don't think people will really miss big things (chats) except for the songs. :P

AAR and SoF both top 20 :o

And Cudi, and U2.
