Amazing Oasis are outselling Saturdays on physical! Good song though and there's actually a B-side this time which makes it more worthwhile. I'd recommend it for the Prodigy remix alone if you're a fan of either band, it works surprisingly well. Hope they can hold at least until Sunday, (just a shame "Outta Time" broke their run)

Oasis won't get any higher or lower, they are 4k behind T.I. and Justin, and even a 2k gap between 8 and 9 yesterday, I should imagine they are guaranteed a #8 entry.

I'm just surprised she wasn't signed by Simon Cowell, this seems the sort of story he'd plant in the media.

Well now that you mention it... She was on Loose Women the other day (a show which I never miss, how tragic!) and she said that Simon had offered her a very lucrative record deal but it "wasn't the right direction for her" apparently, so she turned it down! Oooh-er, get her! :lol:

oasis are prving their is still demand for phyisical singles especially for well established artists but it been a top 10 is huge but happy surprise

 

single sales are high but islands in the stream looks like a cert for number 1 while saturdays will do battle for number 2

I never miss it either :( I saw that too, I'm just wondering how recording an album of covers as a Mother's Day cash-in is any different to what Simon Cowell would have had in mind. :lol:

Of all of the awful mother's day cash-ins, this one seems the most awful. The advert alone is enough to make me want to change channels.

 

She might not have got a better album with Simon, but whoever she is signed to now might make a bit more effort to sustain her career after the initial cash-in..

The sales of Falling Down on iTunes, due to the TOTP performance may help it be pushed up to #7. Never the less, they've done extremely well to get this high considering they've had very little TV airplay from what I've seen.

Still loads of people were predicting Oasis not to even chart in the top20 let alone top10.... They are such a big band and the reason is...there is a new b-side to this single so all of the fans have gone out and actually bought the single....

 

imagine if this song had more airplay i could see this possibly go top5 IMO.
