Five new releases are vying for the top ten of the albums chart this week, although U2 look set to extend their run at the top with No Line On the Horizon (Mercury).

Kelly Clarkson’s All I Ever Wanted (RCA) and Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Mercury) should give U2 the closest run for their money, with both albums expected to chart in the top three this Sunday.

Annie Lennox’s greatest hits set The Collection (RCA) and the eponymous debut from teenage classical singer Faryl (Decca) should also enter the top ten, while Starsailor’s All The Plans (Virgin) will challenge for a top ten placing, although it currently site outside the ten on midweek sales flashes.

The singles chart is rather less busy, with Flo-Rida’s Right Round (Atlantic) set to spend a second week at number one.

However, there should be two new entries to the singles cop ten in the shape of Comic Relief single Islands In The Stream (Mercury) and Oasis’ Falling Down (Big Brother).

[02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute.

[03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away.

[04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard.

[05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude.

[06] Do not use Text Talk.

[07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision.

[08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see.

[09] Finally, please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures.

I think Flo Rida will make number one - Islands in the stream will probably be about three.

Hopefully Kelly C can get top 3 in the albums, ideally number one.

I think Islands in the Stream is a sure fire #1 personally for the video alone. I'd imagine Flo Rida and Lady Ga Ga to complete the Top 3. The Saturdays will probably be saved by their Comic Relief performance though and then tumble quickly afterwards.

I think it will start low though, like 11 today, but be at least top 3 by the weekend...

Yeah me too :)

I think Florrie will stay at #1 with the top 10 pretty much the same, I don't think that Gavin & Stacey song is much cop to be honest, but will probably sell ok as it's for CR. U2 at #1 in albums and Taylor at #4 with Kelly at #7.

:heehee: they put the wrong artists down for Islands In The Stream

Taylor doing well to hold up above Kelly in the singles, glad to see them both top 3 in the albums

Just seen Oasis are top ten :o

How the hell did they manage that???

:lmao: at dolly and kenny!

Dont really understand why katy perry has gone top 40, i dont get that song atall.

Great for kelly clarkson at no2 album.

They were doing a pre-order offer via their website of all 3 formats and a free gift for £6 so sales will probably drop off over the rest of the week.

hope September can go top 20 at least! dance music has done so badly recently, excluding the hybrid rap songs from Taio Cruz and Kid Cudi
