Posted March 17, 200917 yr The Mother’s Day effect is to the fore in the midweek sales flashes, with retail reports suggesting that Ronan Keating’s Songs For My Mother (Polydor) will top the charts this Mothering Sunday. Keating will be joined in the top ten by Mother’s Day-friendly releases from the likes of Annie Lennox (The Collection [RCA]), Faryl (Faryl [Decca]) and Take That (The Circus [Polydor]). Less Mother friendly, perhaps, Peter Doherty’s debut solo album Grace / Wastelands (Parlophone) should secure a top ten placing, while Lionel Richie’s Just Go (Mercury) should make the twenty. On the singles chart, last week’s number one, the Comic Relief single Islands In The Stream (Mercury) by Gavin and Stacey characters Vanessa Jenkins and Bryn West is going head to head with Flo-Rida’s Right Round, with just 500 sales separating them at the moment, according to OCC figures. La Roux and the Pet Shop Boys should secure top twenty placing for their new singles, In For The Kill (Polydor) and Love Etc (Parlophone) respectively Source: MW =================================== Top 40 Only Singles 1 Flo Rida feat. March 17, 200917 yr I think Islands will still show as number one today but by the end of the week it'll be Flo Rida
March 17, 200917 yr I think Pet Shop Boys will struggle to make the top 10 unfortunately. A lot of fans, myself included, couldn't get hold of CD1 because HMV appeared to order a pitiful number of copies and they sold out quickly. The question is whether they can make enough of an impression on iTunes.
March 17, 200917 yr Ooh I hope hope hope Gaga is number 1. Poker Face is so much better than that Flo Rida chav rubbish :(
