Debra looked pretty phiiiit on You're Fired!

 

James though... LOL. What a guy.

I really warmed to Debra towards the end - I would have preferred to see her in the final instead of Kate, tbh. It was really sad when James went, he is so entertaining!

 

I am backing Yasmina :D

I don't think there was any chance of James or Lorraine ever making the final, I just hope Yasmina wins, I'm not fussed with Kate at all, she was fairly useless last week too...

Sir Alan definalty fired the right three and in the correct order and everything. James & Lorraine had both improved in their performances from the begining of the show but were definalty the weakest of the 5.

I changed my opinion during the interviews about Debra, i think she would have been a good finalists but i wouldnt have liked to have worked for her myself.

The final 2 are both fantastic though, and i think both would make good apprentices. My prefered choice would be Yasmina though.

I was one of those who really disliked Debra at the start - but in those interviews (together with her actual performances throughout the tasks) I think the wrong decision was made. Debra should have been in the final two - and most definitely ahead of Yasmina (who I think will win - but for my mind - although likeable - really has proved nothing!) And one thing was said from the panellists on You're Fired - Debra said what she thought throughout - she didn't talk behind backs! I actually like her now - as one of them said - she'd make a true and loyal friend.

 

James - bless him! 'With me Sir Alan - you won't need to reinvent the wheel - mend a few spokes maybe .... ' - surely he has a future ahead of him in TV!

 

Anyway - for me - two of the most boring (yes ... nice but boring) and least apt people are in the final.

I have to say I got a little upset during the course of tonight's episode when it became apparent that a grand total of none of Alan's aides were rooting for Debra. I think she's emerged as a somebody with a strong character, a willingness to learn (moreso than any other contestant) and a very broad skill set and when I realised she was only 23 it sort of cemented that she absolutely should've made the final. Possibly the best under-25 contestant ever...

 

Thrilled for Yasmina, less so for Kate the Robot. She's so... clinical. TOO clinical.

 

 

I disagree TOTALLY with the "willingness to learn".

Debra seemed to learn nothing throughout the process. Unlike Claire last year who did undergo a character metamorphosis, Week 10 Debra was pretty much the same as Week 1 Debra.

Week after week, Debra was pulled up on being a bloody-minded dragon who no-one wanted to work with. And I didn't say Debra making any attempt to rein that in at any point during the series. Only just last week she threw a hissy fit when Yasmina took the team leader role, giving some proper attitude.

And it was that which led to her being fired I'm sure.

 

James and Lorraine...no surprises there at all, although they were by far the most likable characters left in at this stage. James' CV must be published in full immediately as a classic comedy artefact.

But I suspect he will be fine in the end, and will have little problem finding work. And even Debra, she'll find a sales position somewhere. Lorraine though...if recent reports are to be believed, this show has destroyed her :(

 

 

 

I'm pretty sure Kate will win this now. Yasmina is seen as too much of a "risk" in that she could quite easily flounce off on her own at any point. And although Sirallun makes a point of liking contestants with bravado, he rarely selects one of them as a winner. His winning choices have all tended to be "safe".

I loved James too - he and Howard were my favourites - although I have to say in last night's episode I really, really did like Debra. I disagree though that had changed. It was the fact that she hadn't changed that I actually started to respect. Right up until the bitter end the 'dragon lady' was still very much in evidence. To be honest - the thing I like about Debra is if she was going to stab you ... she'd stab you in the front - not in you're back like some of the others would (with the exception of James of course - who wouldn't stab anyone ... anywhere - or Lee J as I will always see him - especially on that CV photo!)

Poor James... He was a character, but let's face it, was never gonna win.... It would really be hard for me to take him seriously if I was working under him tbh, too much larking about...

 

Kate...? Frankly, she sort of puts me in mind of what a Stepford Businesswoman would be like.... I dunno, she seems like one of the blonde female Cylons off of Battlestar Galactica as well.... :lol:

I can't seem to remember though which type of company has private documents and which has public documents. I studied it in Business Organisation but I can't remember! :lol:

 

If she has been effing up her profits etc., does that mean she's been paying the "wrong" amounts of tax or VAT? It's the first thing that came to my mind, but I'm not a Business person, so I could be barking up the wrong tree...

 

Very sad to see Lorraine go, but I don't think she would have made a good Apprentice. I think she'd be more suited in a smaller business of her own, like a shop or something.

 

I couldn't figure out what was up with Debra's face during her time on the show. It just seemed really... weird to me. But I watched a bit of You're Fired! and I think her make-up on The Apprentice was very white and made her face look strange, but she looked a lot better with a bit of color on YF. She was a character, but she scared the hell out of me!

With Debra it was a case of too little too late. Yes she said she would work hard to change but that doesn't negate how awful she has been in the past and her references were diabolical.

 

I'm backing Kate all the way. I like Yasmina but she will compromise quality and standards to ensure she wins all the time which I don't think is a good thing to do. Yes she won the catering task but how awful was the food she sold to people?

Yes, Yasmina's "oh..." moment when she realised her accounts were public was frigging hilarity. I still want her to win though.

There's, I dunno, something about her, she's tall, got a seriously good figure, and seems as though she's had deportment lessons by the way she walks, very proper, I've kinda got a thing for domineering, statuesque women.... :wub: Unfortunately, then she goes and spoils the whole effect by opening her gob and sounding like a navvie..... :lol: :lol: God, if only she talked like Kate Winslett or Emily Blunt.... :wub:

I really don't understand all this 'Debra is awful and nasty etc'. What exactly did she do to anyone? She wasn't nasty or malicious and from what I've seen has never hurt anyone's feelings? :/ She was just straightforward and blunt. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. No-one is exactly there to make friends it's a competition. But like I said she really didn't come across THAT bad to me tbh :/ By far the best candidate. And considering she is only 23 speaks volumes. And like was said on You're Fired. I'd much rather work with someone who told me how it was instead of being all nice to the face and then proceeding to backstab.

 

My fave three went last night so wasn't really pleased tbh. Lorraine seemed like a nice genuine person who I felt for because it seemed like it was her final shot. James well LOL really. He really was lucky but he is a top geezer obviously.

 

As for the winner I would like Yasmina to now. Kate is so plain.
