Out of the MAIN males this contest I would say it goes something like this...

Erik>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Petros>>>>>>>>Haffi

Erik is the best male in this contest... by FAR! IMO . Petros is OK, but not liking Haffi much at all :( Sorry.

I thought this is about qualifying :o

It depends - I said I was offering odds on victory at the top of mine :P

OMG is my entry that bad?

I have the feeling you don't want to give it a chance :(

:P

I personally love your entry but this is about chances of qualifying not personal preferences. ;)

How do you compile the odds? Is there some kind of formula? I always wondered how people do these odds

It's just how many times I think they will win compared to how many times they won't under x amount of chances that all occur under the exact same conditions :o

I think Sangria have a good chance too :o Sandrine reminds me very much of Sara Bareilles and Lenka everytime I listen to it... Although it doesn't quite as much "Oooompf" as them, it could still do very well...

I actually thought that too. I haven't heard it in full yet but when making the recap I was reminded of these sorts of entries.

I would LOVE Ashton to have the first male winner, but I don't see it quite happening, although top ten is surely a certainty!?!

I reckon it's definitely got a chance for top 10. It might be like Dima in VII. an average song, aiming for the gay vote, doing well

I don't know if it's just because it's the two times I've been host, but parts of this seem like BJSC VII so far. Lady GaGa, The Saturdays, Jeanette, Mira Craig, Keri Hilson, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Natasha Bedingfield all back. (all for different countries, the traitors) Mdice with one of the hot favourites. Now all we need is well-known artists to finish bottom 3 and two future UK #1s to finish in the top 2.

i agree with the order

but I definately like Give Me Sexy ^_^

Girl & The Robot and Hurtful could be future UK No.1's with the right promotion/publicity :o

I dunno, I can't ever see Royksopp having a huge hit, even with Robyn. "Hurtful" is possible, maybe. I don't think any of the songs in this contest will actually go to #1. :(

Erik Hassle has been tipped as the next Sam Sparro 'i.e. one hit wonder'

I fear that Girl & The Robot will fail in the same way that Dream On did, but I do prefer it to be honest so hope it will do big things...I wonder if With Every Heartbeat was a random anomaly though and all future epic string laden emotion drenched Robyn songs are destined to fail :snif:

I saw that. I don't think "Hurtful" is quite on the same level as "Black & Gold", sounds like a low top 10 at best I think.

Same, I thought "Dream On" would be huge, especially as it was previously unavailable here. I think it's her best song. (though I haven't heard her pre-'Robyn' stuff) I'm not sure she'll ever have a big hit again, I can hardly believe she had a #1 in the first place. I wonder when she's getting some new stuff, surely it's about time?!

I think she's in the process of recording new material, just doing collaborations in the meantime maybe  good to see she is keeping herself in the public eye, yet without flaunting herself about everywhere. I've just come back from work wearing my Robyn t-shirt[/sad] With Every Heartbeat's success took me completely by surprise, yet I also expected it as all of my favourite songs managed to get to No.1 in 2007  (Grace Kelly, Shine, Give It 2 Me, Beautiful Liar, Bleeding Love) the only one I wished had gone to No.1 that didn't was Rule The World, but I can't complain seeing as it was beaten by Leona

So has Tommy Sparks :heehee:

she reminded me of Lenka too when I first heard it and it's on my list since...I don't know...some contest ago. But I feel it could do well now (I mean 10-20 in the final maybe :D ) because there are a lot of dance/electro songs in this edition.

Sandrine FTW :kink:

I can't see it appealing much to the pop voters...and as for the indie voters...

Yeah! I can't imagine what my reaction will be if this qualifies. (But that's EXTREMELY unlikely)

25/1 for Espen?

The Greenfroze and Spizil entries are AMAZING. I hope they qualify. :cheer:
