April 26, 200917 yr Can't believe this generic song got to No.1 and outsold the ever epic Since U Been Gone :(
April 26, 200917 yr A lot of songs seem to be having larger falls this week, perhaps because of more new songs higher up?
April 26, 200917 yr Huge drop for Lily too, especially since it's still got massive amounts of airplay.
April 26, 200917 yr This is two places higher than 'The Loving Kind' was the week before physical week, but it's got a VERY long way to go for a top 10 place next week.
April 26, 200917 yr 28 (from 19) Lily Allen - The Fear [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDR6764.JPG Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-5-7-12-17-17-19-19-19-28 [13 wks] Release date: 26-1-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: REG150CD Label: PARLOPHONE U.K. singer Lily Allen is the daughter of the notorious British actor/comedian Keith Allen, and her father's sharp sense of humour is reflected in the music on her highly acclaimed 2006 debut full-length, ALL RIGHT STILL. Following the runaway success of the single "Smile"--which hit the top spot on the U.K. singles chart--the album is blend of pop-reggae, hip-hop, and U.K. R&B delivered with witty lyrical barbs and a chart-friendly pop sheen. While her brash outspokenness has made her a media fixation in England. - HMV Video here: Chart history (Year peak title): 2006 01 Smile 2006 06 LDN 2006 21 Littlest Things 2007 15 Alfie 2007 08 Oh My God (Mark Ronson Feat. April 26, 200917 yr Woop. Girls Aloud. 2 places off my prediction but yeah whatever. Looking forward to seeing how this does next week.
April 26, 200917 yr I love 'Untouchable' even more after hearing a remix of it when I was out on Friday  I predict around #13 for this next week.
April 26, 200917 yr 27 (from 36) Girls Aloud - Untouchable [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2704479.JPG Chart Run: 54-41-42-36-27 [5 wks] Release date: 27-4-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2704479 Label: POLYDOR Unusually for a group catapulted into the nation's consciousness via a reality TV/talent contest (2002's 'Popstars: The Rivals'), Girls Aloud managed to combine phenomenal single and album chart success with genuine critical acclaim. Their collaborations with the Xenomania production team have been particularly lauded, especially on CHEMISTRY (2005). As well as a mainstay of the charts, the five girls were also regular fixtures in the gossip columns, fuelled primarily by Cheryl Cole's much publicised marriage to footballer Ashley Cole and her participation as a judge in the 2008 edition of X-Factor. - HMV Video here: g5RM-HML6yw Chart history (Year peak title): 2002 01 Sound Of The Underground 2003 02 No Good Advice 2003 03 Life Got Cold 2003 02 Jump 2004 02 The Show 2004 02 Love Machine 2004 01 I'll Stand By You 2005 04 Wake Me Up 2005 07 Long Hot Summer 2005 04 Biology 2005 09 See The Day 2006 06 Whole Lotta History 2006 03 Something Kinda Ooooh 2006 04 I Think We're Alone Now 2007 01 Walk This Way (Sugababes vs Girls Aloud) 2007 05 Sexy! April 26, 200917 yr Author It would be a shame for such a great track to end the GS top 10 run - fingers crossed for next week!
April 26, 200917 yr ^^ the loons who buy 50 copies of this will help it get to a top 10 placing, like The Loving Kind.
April 26, 200917 yr Huge drop for Lily too, especially since it's still got massive amounts of airplay. Really though, does anyone actually care if a song drops a few places in one week when it's already been so massively successful and sold a mega amount? I swear some people would like songs to stay in the same position each week, the chart would never change and we'd be stuck with the same old overplayed songs...
