Bat For Lashes is the alter ego of UK singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Natasha Khan. Bat For Lashes' dramatic, avant garde style invited unavoidable parallels to be drawn with Kate Bush and Bjork, their music and vocals often sharing a similar exotic and enchanting sound. Khan's art school roots studying film and music are an obvious presence in her undeniably cinematic style, she often listed as films such as The Virgin Suicides as her inspirations. The wide range of instruments, combined with synths and beat machines on her 2006 debut album, FUR AND GOLD, created a unique, otherworldly sound that won her critical acclaim and devoted fans, including acclaimed psych-folk musician Devandra Banhart. - HMV

Album Discussion Thread Here

1 Non Mover. So, as soon as we hear a non mover, we know that Calvin Harris is not #1, basically.

It's La Roux!

Bat For Lashes Fact: She was one of the nominees for 'Best British Breakthrough Act' and 'Best British Female' at the Brit Awards 2008.

Non-mover will almost certainly be La Roux 2-2-

So happy Daniel got a third week :)

Deadmau5 and Kaskade are next probably.

DEADMAU5! :D

First of 4 amazing new entries + Keri Hilson which I haven't heard and re-entries from Flo (good) and Asher (crap).
