Posted May 24, 200916 yr Dizzee Rascal made it #1097 number one singles in the United Kingdom with Bonkers today, this means we're just three chart toppers away from the 1100 milestone. It could happen as early as June 14th or if usual patterns are to go by it might not be until late July. Who could claim this title? Edited July 5, 200915 yr by zenon
May 24, 200916 yr It could be JLS if Beat Again delivers. 1098 and 1099 could be Bulletproof and When Love Takes Over.
May 24, 200916 yr i think it could be Jordin Sparks or The Saturdays. But Beat Again also has a good chance.
May 25, 200916 yr The Saturdays have no chance :heehee: If their last three far superior singles couldn't make it then 'Work' sure as hell won't. I think it'll be a song that nobody knows of yet. Edited May 25, 200916 yr by Battlefield
May 25, 200916 yr I think it may be a while away, I can see Dizzie holding on for atleast another few weeks. I dont think the 1100th no.1 will to till August time.
May 25, 200916 yr Cough Susan Boyle Cough will probably win BGT, I can see Dizzee getting a kick up the ass if Susan Boyle releases.
May 25, 200916 yr she won't release straight away as they wouldn't have anything recorded and have any of the rights for covers yet, cause if they did it would look unfair for all the overs. Though the song that she performs on the final may do well if chosen correctly.
May 25, 200916 yr It will depend upon the rate at which Dizzee’s sales subside: slowly e.g. 114-101-92-81-75-69-62- he could be at No1 for the best part of 2 months or more rapidly e.g. 114-82-65- he will be vulnerable sooner.
May 25, 200916 yr Possible: 1098 - Soulja Boy/Carolina Liar/T.I./Pixie Lott/La Roux (if digital release is early)/Jordin Sparks 1099 - Paloma Faith/La Roux/Lenka/David Guetta/Jordin Sparks 1100 - Keri Hilson/Lady GaGa/BGT Winner Weird but anything can happen in my idea.

Though the song that she performs on the final may do well if chosen correctly. I disagree. If Susan Boyle wins BGT 2009 I can see Simon Cowell/Syco rushing her into the studio to get a "winner's" single out right away to be released eight days after the Final. Whilst I'm struggling to hear a future number one in the making after Dizzee Rascal's Bonkers which will sell strongly throughout the summer. I don't think the likes of Mama Do, Bulletproof, Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer, Evacuate The Dancefloor, Battlefield & Work are strong enough. Whilst I'm not convinced JLS will have a big enough fan base to score a UK #1 hit with their debut single Beat Again. So for a bit of fun I think the next three number one's could be all songs that we have not yet officially heard: 1098 Susan Boyle - I Dreamed A Dream 1099 Madonna ft Lil Wayne - Revolver 1100 ?????? sometime in August!
May 25, 200916 yr I think Dizzee might actually hold for around 6 weeks - I have a feeling that La Roux will not have enough power to dethrone Dizz. I'm certain that around the one-and-a-half month mark, Dizzee will be knocked off though. If Susan Boyle releases a single, Dizzee is screwed. Otherwise, it will be pretty surprising if Dizzee holds on for any less than 4 weeks. That said, I'm still not totally certain Dizzee will hold #1 this week.
May 25, 200916 yr And the Eminem Album is the 870th No.1 Album - not the 871st. Both Everyhit.com & The OCC Site have Eminem as the 871st. Both are wrong. Both have made the error for different reasons..... 1) Everyhit counts the 2008 'Deluxe' version of 'Spirit' as the 859th No.1 Album. It should be a 'Re' at No.1. The OCC counts it as the same Album as the 2007 version - and calls it a 'Re' at No.1. 2) The OCC mistakenly called 'Gold' by ABBA, the 849th No.1 Album, in 2008. It should be a 'Re' at No.1. It was the 461st No.1 Album in 1992. It went to No.1 again in 1999 - 3 times. The OCC correctly call the 1999 returns to No.1, 'Re'. But, they got it wrong in 2008, & called it the 849th No.1, when it returned there. Everyhit.com correctly calls it a 'Re' in 2008. So, 'Relapse', by Eminem, is the 870th No.1 Album - not the 871st..... Edited May 25, 200916 yr by zeus555
