Vera Lynn actually had 2 songs in the very first chart back in 1952, as did Frankie Laine, although one was a duet with Doris Day.

Not many other boybands have got to number 1 with their first ever hit, not even the major ones like Take That and Boyzone. Unless you count McFly :lol:
