To Bloc Party's credit, One More Chance is probably their best song imo. But that's not hard for me.

Flux is probably one of my most hated songs of all time* and most of their other songs are five times worse than One More Chance.

*that isn't gonna go down well :kink:

I think this is definitely the worst out of anything on all of their three albums, the lyrics are insipid and cheesy and the piano adds to this.

'One More Chance' will not flop. Radio 1 are all over it. I heard it FOUR times today (on my shift at work 2-10) and that's how it is everyday pretty much coz it happened on Monday and Tuesday too. (We change our radio stations often at work so not sure about Wednesday or Thursday :heehee:)

On the positive though... the ending to the Biffy Clyro song, is f***ing EPIC! That deserves to be a bigger hit on the back of the ending alone!

How can anybody hate One More Chance or Fluc is way beyond me. Bloc Party are one of the best bands of recent times. They ere ace at Glast.

Tinchy's lead is falling rapidly!

This leads to in intruguing possibility - could BEP have a 2nd successive single return to #1? Surely that would be unique in chart history!

Edited by vidcapper

Aerosmith's gotta be the most impressive, as it has yet to see the top 100 this year. Dog Days peaked at 91 this year so far.

So Aerosmith is #1 on not top 100. Who is #2? Kings of Leon's Notion can't be too far off the top 5 or so too.

No, KoL are way down the list.

2nd are Goo Goo Dolls - Iris ~37k

3rd are G&R - SCOM ~34.5k

4th Oasis - Wonderwall ~30k

I doubt it, on the last midweek with sales, BEP were more than 10k away from Tinchy and Amelle.

You misunderstood!

Vidcapper meant that after Boom Boom Pow another single from BEP could re-gain number 1 (next week) after dropping from the top spot this week.

I really really think Calvin has a decent chance of #1. I hear it on the radio a lot, and it is Calvin Harris, coming off the back of two consecutive #1s.

Omg I agree.

2nd most epic ending to a song this year (after Enter Shikari - Juggernauts).

Mountains is really crap, because that is NOT Biffy Clyro. It doesn't deserve to be their biggest hit.

That Golden Rule for #4! :D

Correct - on the latest iTunes they are closing fast, plus the physical release of IGF is on Monday. CD sales might only be 1-2k nowadays, but in a close contest that could make the difference.

Two??

'I'm Not Alone', and what?

Correction - Oasis-WW has only missed the T200 in 5 separate occasion this year, so they must till have been close to charting - therefore they will have 4-4.5k more than I stated above.

Oops! Thanks for clearing it up for me. ^_^
