Posted August 11, 200915 yr So. Next week see's two pretty anticipated albums released next week and to have a change of all these Singles predictors etc... pick who you think will chart higher next week. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/109/l_fc82e51c9a174c4dba9f1d7555cb6d4e.jpg Tinchy Stryder releases his debut album 'Catch 22' it includes THREE Top 3 hits (Two of which were number 1) 'Take Me Back' #3, 'Number 1' #1, 'Never Leave You' #1. Also includes the buzz single 'Stryderman'! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wBa7Q-Vbuuc/SlvJ42P3r7I/AAAAAAAAE1Y/AeGTDHIi9M8/s400/Calvin%20Harris.jpg Coming off the back of his own number 1 single 'I'm Not Alone' and (what looks likely to be) another Top 3 hit with 'Ready For the Weekend' this weekend. Can Calvin Harris score some success with his second album? Although the tracks haven't been included on the tracklist, will his collaborations with Dizzee Rascal benefit him more? GO ON! PREDICT! PREDICT! PREDICT! :P
August 11, 200915 yr I was wondering myself about this. Both albums contain two #1 singles, Calvin's potentially has three if RFTW pulls off something massive this week. As a rule though, I reckon a dance album would do better than a rap album, so Calvin Harris I think will be between #1 and #3, and Tinchy bwtween #3 and #5. Gonna go for Calvin higher. Also, Catch 22 is Tinchy's second full-length album. The first one was a commercial flop though. Edited August 11, 200915 yr by B-slice
August 11, 200915 yr I reckon people are under estimating Tinchy's debut. They're definitely going to have the top two though I'm not sure of the order.
August 11, 200915 yr I think Calvin will get to #1, with Tinchy in the top 3. Really don't like 'Catch 22''s cover. :puke2:
August 11, 200915 yr I reckon people are under estimating Tinchy's debut. They're definitely going to have the top two though I'm not sure of the order. Rap albums never seem to do that well though. I know it's hard to judge but just look at BEPs album to begin with, how it was released off the back of a massive #1 single and it didn't do that well to begin with. I'm expecting the same to happen to Tinchy too, but I guess we shalt seeeee.
August 11, 200915 yr Calvin will be #1 but i think Tinchy will probaby end up top 3 aswell I think i accidentally voted Tinchy in the poll btw
August 11, 200915 yr I'm going for Calvin Harris 'Ready For The Weekend'. Tinchy has sold a lot from his singles, that might show that people are not interested in the album (unless they have decided to buy the album as well ;)). Rap albums never seem to do that well though. August 11, 200915 yr What about Eminem? Eminem is the exception. Most rap albums, especially British rap albums, tend to not be #1 even if they come off of huge singles.
August 11, 200915 yr How has Calvin got two #1's already B-slice? Dance Wiv Me isn't going to be on this album i thought? Although I expect Tinchy to be higher, i think Calvin's will be better and sell more in the long run.

August 11, 200915 yr I think Calvin Harris will be bigger. Artists like Tinchy have more successful singles rather than albums.
August 11, 200915 yr Sales are so diabolical I'm certain they'll both have the top 2. Wouldn't surprise me if Tinchy was No1 tbh. He has three very big, mainstream singles at the back of him now and I can see more attention being paid to Calvin's individual songs rather than an album.
August 11, 200915 yr #1 for Calvin for sure. I don't really think Tinchy will see much success. The chavs are happy to download his singles but they tend not to buy albums whereas I think 'Im Not Alone' appeals to genuine dance fans as well as chavs and thus Calvin's album will sell decently.
August 11, 200915 yr I think Calvin will enter at #1 for sure, I think Tinchy will probably reach #6. I'm quite looking forward to Calvin's album, unlike Tinchy. ^_^
August 12, 200915 yr Calvin  Number one of course :o Tinchy, on the other side, :puke: Hopefully he will peak lower but i will say - 6th.
August 12, 200915 yr Calvin #1 Tinchy #7 Altho tbh, I don't see either as 'album artists' and would be surprised if Calvin went to #1..
