EastEnders
Why are your takes always the worst?

EastEnders
Maybe in a better era I’d be more excited but I can’t help but feel they just need to let Pat rest now. I can’t remember her and Nigel having a great deal to do with one another. It’s sad she was killed off but I feel like the show has moved on?

The Traitors Australia • Series 3
And got cancelled. This is their way of bringing it back and ensuring some interest in Australia.

The Traitors Australia • Series 3
This is how the US do their series though, not sure why anyone’s surprised?

EastEnders
For them to mark his milestone birthday without even allowing him to appear is really strange. He’s only a month older than Oscar is supposed to be. Couldn’t they give them a friendship or something?
-
EastEnders
I mean, I guessed that much but surely he should have been recast by now? He’s never set the world alight with his acting so if he’s more focused on uni, surely they could cast a more committed actor?

EastEnders
It’s Will Mitchell’s 18th birthday and he’s been mentioned several times across two episodes. But hasn’t actually appeared. Why do they not want to develop this character?

Neighbours
The affair will come out soon but obviously the outcome of Holly’s pregnancy will be left in the air. I do wonder if they’d attempt to rush a Andrew/Wendy reunion afterwards but with only around 20 episodes left I can’t see it The Linwell brothers and I’m guessing this Freeway development will get wrapped up. Sue Parker is clearly going to be a villain in it. I’d like to see Remi get her memory back before the end but I’m not sure. The Krista/Leo/Nicolette thing will also be unfinished but that’s about it I think. The Addison stuff is as good as sorted, Colton and Zac have gotten together. I guess it gives the idea of life still going on. They couldn’t repeat the finale from last time but it’s also just not that interesting at all. It’ll definitely go out with a whimper.

I wish she’d stay longer but it’ll be good to have her back. Can she help improve the Zoe mess?

EastEnders
I imagine Michelle probably was stuck for work but also was tempted given how well received the show has been the last couple of years. I’m assuming she didn’t look at any story outlines before she signed because this is dross. It’s like when Charlie Brooks clearly came back because Covid meant she couldn’t really do anything else.

EastEnders
I’m happy to suspend my disbelief for a decent engaging story. The Six was at least that in the run up and immediate aftermath of Christmas. The problem with what we’re seeing now is that it isn’t very engaging at all. Zoe hunting for a kitten when we’re not sure of she’s lucid, drugs drama, Suki’s ill advised plan to get a fifth attempt at motherhood, Anthony Trueman being there…it’s just not riveting or where we really want to go. Nicola suddenly being pregnant also feels pretty desperate.

90s Top 10 Sales- Week by Week- 1998
I don’t think the BBC genuinely thought the Sex On The Beach lyrics were too raunchy, my memory is that after it was played on the chart, busybody parents wrote in demanding it not be shown on Top Of The Pops. But you’re right, would they have given in if it had gotten to no.1? Luckily they just had to put up with Robbie Williams in a see through dress 😂

The Celebrity Traitors UK • Series 1
I’m ok with that because I didn’t want a faithful win without Joe. I certainly didn’t want David to win after he was wrong about literally everything. Felt bad for Joe though, it gets tough near the end but to have been so useful to the group and lose it at the last moment…

Neighbours
There really isn’t enough going on that interests me. It’s probably for the best that it’s ending at this point. I’m watching the classic episodes on YouTube and I’m up to 1987, it’s much better in some ways.

90s Top 10 Sales- Week by Week- 1998
For years I assumed that the Bootie Call/Everybody Get Up top 2 were down to fan base purchasing first week given both collapse straight after. I still think that and the cheap price is what gave Bootie Call the no.1. I don’t have time for Everybody Get Up yet so many view it as peak Five (Keep On Movin and Got The Feeling have that title for me) Of course, at the time my conservative mother was outraged Mel Blatt performed with her stomach on show due to her pregnancy. I remember the launch of CD:UK was huge. It replaced the Chart Show that we all watched on a Saturday morning after Live and Kicking but Ant and Dec launching a Saturday morning kids show with a chart show tagged on to the end? People were curious and rightly so! The Manics ❤️ that song will never be old and unfortunately probably even more relevant today than it was in 1998.
