Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous
I love this, it’s too easy to listen to it on repeat. It’s great to have a fun single like this from Mariah, it’s like a new Obsessed, so many great lyrics. Anderson.Paak is a great fit for her too, will be great if he’s worked on the rest of the album. Caution ended up being one of my favourites of hers (Giving Me Life has to be one of her absolute best, need more of her and Blood Orange), really looking forward to more new music.

Ethel Cain – Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You
I was going to try and not overplay this before the album arrived but that’s proving impossible. I can’t stop listening. It’s genuinely one of the most stunning songs I’ve ever heard, so many gorgeous melodies sprinkled throughout 😭

Ethel Cain – Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You
Can't stop listening to Nettles, it really is breathtaking. It reminds me in places of Hard Times, one of my absolute favourites of hers. Those 8 minutes fly by, I could get lost in the soundscape for hours. Can't wait for the rest of the album.

Addison Rae - Addison
What a debut album. A new pop classic So cohesive while also having plenty of variety, no skips, nothing outstays its welcome but equally nothing needs fleshing out more. The production throughout is flawless, and her airy, breathy vocals! So dreamy. In The Rain and Times Like These rival the best of the singles for me. Gorgeous. Headphones On works so well as the album closer, song of the year potential for sure. I'm even coming around to the album cover. I just wish everything was shifted to the right, I hate that there's such a vertical line down her right hand side, the cropping is so awkward :')

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
Pitchfork giving this a 5.6 and calling Walk of Fame and Every Girl You've Ever Loved atrocious... I guess we can't all have taste

Ethel Cain – Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You
Ethel Cain's official second album, which is a prequel to 2022's Preacher's Daughter, will finally be out in August. She's just released the first single, Nettles, which is absolutely stunning. I need to give Perverts another listen – I don't think it was really for me on first listen, but Preacher's Daughter is one of my favourite albums of the last few years so I can't wait for this. She's so great at world-building, and the fact Nettles is all self-produced, mixed, and solely written by her is so impressive.

And Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved too actually. POSE POSE POSE POSE

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
Same, it’s such a smash waiting to happen. That chorus is undeniable. I can’t stop listening to this and Pretend You’re God on repeat. So perfect for hazy summer days.

The most exciting album campaign in a looong time. Brb just making one of those my new profile pic x

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
Loving this, especially the second half. The one-two punch of Walk of Fame/Pretend You’re God… two of her absolute best back to back. Can’t unhear ‘we’re so beautiful, arseholes go back and forth’ in Reborn though 🥲

Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun
Another absolute smash. The production

Friend of Mine (Soundtrack Single) - Out Friday 16th May
Genuinely, what is this? 🥲

Arca - Puta/Sola
We haven't had much new material from Arca since she released four albums in the space of a week at the end of 2021, but she's back with a double A side (if that's still a thing?), Puta/Sola. I love that these two show the two sides to her work – the more abrasive side in Puta, and the softer, more ethereal Sola. I can already see Sola becoming one of my favourite songs of the year, it's gooorgeous. Really hope this is leading up to a new album, I've missed her ❤️

Arcade Fire - Pink Elephant
Same here, I can't bring myself to listen to them since the allegations. I enjoyed bits from Everything Now and WE, but it was very much diminishing returns, so I don't really feel like I'm missing much by not even giving this a listen.
