October 27, 201312 yr Author Lorde and James Arthur both have a 2nd new entry between 76 and 100 - 'Tennis Court' making a much overdue appearance at #78 and this Alonzo Holt thing that features James at #97 (I assume this is a cover of Miley's song as I know James has covered that, but why is it credited to Alonzo Holt?) Diplo getting his top 75 debut as the main lead artist. Also a top 75 debut as a solo artist for Andy Jordan from Made In Chelsea. I assume he was among 'The Boys From Made In Chelsea' who had a #53 hit featuring on 'L'Americano' by The Gypsy Queens last Christmas. 4 new entries between 41 and 45 - if they'd all done just a little bit better there would have been an incredible fourteen new entries in this week's top 40! :o
October 27, 201312 yr Very happy for both charts ! :) "Royals" is a great number 1. And what a longevity for "Roar", this really is a monster hit.
October 27, 201312 yr Which Andrea is which? Tooold you radio wasn't playing Same Love much, Capital only after 1am etc. And it didn't do very well as a result.
October 27, 201312 yr Author Which Andrea is which? Bocelli is the blind Italian man. Begley is the blind British woman.
October 27, 201312 yr Lady Gaga reaches 400 weeks in the UK Top 75 - the 25th act to do so. She is the 4th American female , behind Madonna, Diana Ross, Beyonce & Mariah Carey and the 7th female in all (add in Rihanna & Kylie Minogue)  Less significantly, Sean Paul now has 150 weeks in the Top 50.

October 27, 201312 yr Yep. 5th. I originally missed Mariah & edited the middle part of the sentence without editing the first bit. My apologies.
October 27, 201312 yr Tooold you radio wasn't playing Same Love much, Capital only after 1am etc. And it didn't do very well as a result. Same Love actually did very very well in the UK reaching number 6 and staying in the top 10 for many weeks. No one expected it to do this well especially since the album was released at the beginning of the year. On a different note, so glad to see so many new entries in the UK Singles Top 75: feels like the 90's all over again... :D
October 28, 201312 yr Tooold you radio wasn't playing Same Love much, Capital only after 1am etc. And it didn't do very well as a result. Are you actually being serious? It was A-Listed on Radio 1 therefore it DEFINITELY received 3 plays a day during the daytime shows. Also, I for one have frequently heard it on Capital. A month in the top 10 with a #6 peak for a 3rd single is a pretty good result if you ask me..
October 28, 201312 yr Yeah, I agree, all the new entries recently are great. It's a shame there were 4 that narrowly missed the top 40 though.
October 28, 201312 yr Same Love actually did very very well in the UK reaching number 6 and staying in the top 10 for many weeks. No one expected it to do this well especially since the album was released at the beginning of the year. From what I saw, everyone expected it to do better than it did. :P
