HAI GUYS! Just a quick hello from your favourite dictatorship to let you know the theme for the first of our relaunched spin-offs!

 

 

The Federal Republic of Ashton will be hosting 'BJSC 90's Dance'. So if you're keen to explore the forgotten classics of the 90's Dance scene just give us a heads up in here so I know if I need to account for Semi's or not!

 

 

Shortly after Christmas, and before New Year, we aim to open up our Spin-off sub-forum and the confirmation will start in there on launch night ^_^

 

 

So if you intend to participate it's time to apply for them visa's (Category B or IBL-BJSC for those on the Blacklist) and book flights for Mon Triejn as we are off to the islands!

What a flawless theme to start off with *.* I aim to be as utterly predictable as possible. What 90s dance act might I send, I wonder...

My entry came to me within TWO SECONDS. sorted.

Yeah I kind of merged Bray's suggestion of 90's tracks and Leww's of Dance Classics. While forgetting either had been suggested. :drama:

I'm really looking forward to picking my entry for this and then listening to them all!

 

There was just something wonderful about Dance music in the late 90's/early 00's that the current EDM thing has yet to capture for me.

Are we going to not be allowed to send super well-known classics? I wouldn't have much of a problem finding something less well-known but my 2 main songs I have in mind were both huge hits that most people will already know (I think).

Yeah I have a FEELING that well-known tracks will come to everyone's minds first, so I hope some more obscure ones are chosen! I think mine is just about unknown enough. Kinda.

I haven't quite firmed up the rules yet but I'm leaning towards letting the big classics in as it's a celebration of 90's Dance rather than a standard BJSC.

I shall be in for this. Not sure what I'll send but I will find something, as 90s dance is by and large fantastic.

Hmm, I do love a SPIN OFF but this theme leaves me with something in the range of ZERO possibilities. I shall TRY, though.

Will this be ran along with the regular contest?

What a weird theme. I doubt I shall be entering as it's simply way too out of my comfort zone.

My favourite song ever is a 90s dance song, but it was already used in a regular BJSC years ago :lol:
