Really looking forward to hearing! Both of his albums were amongst my favourites of the 2010s.

out now
love it! very subtle, with nice little electronic beats and a nice melody, more Blue Neighbourhood than Bloom it's less "in your face" and more subtle, which is good imo |

This post gives a bit of background to it:
this was a really scary moment for me - being this honest w myself about my happiness and my life and the way all the pieces fit together, or don’t just like a moment of dude..what r u doing. this isn’t working anymore. go home. go be w ur family. dance. write music. be w ur friends who have known u since u were 2. reevaluate. ♂️ naturally we wrote a sad dance track w a housey outro, and it’s out everywhere in the world now. hope you like it and it brings you some of the joy and relief it brought me during these crazy times |

Love it on the first listen!
It takes you on a real journey throughout, lots of unexpected twists and turns in the production. That bassline totally took me by surprise. |

Liking this on first listen! The bassline at the end though... really threw me off! I wasn't expecting that at all. I think it'd have been better with a more suitable breakdown (think something like Cosmic Journey by Solange).
But great to have him back! |

The production on this is fantastic. His delivery is always something that takes a bit of getting used to for me because I'm not a fan of "lazy" (for lack of a better word) vocals like him & Selena but on some song, it really works. I think after 5 listens, I can say it works on this. The last 90 seconds in particular really come alive.

This is an interesting track, can see this really growing on me with each listen. Definitely feels like some artistic growth.

The production is so interestingly layered, and then that outro. Yes.
His voice suits ~moody~ music like this perfectly. |
