Its been released in the US today for a couple of reasons:-

 

1. In the US, radio play and sales generally correlate pretty well. As songs take a long time to build on radio in the US, they are releasing it now so that in 8 weeks' time, when the single is released globally and the album is just around the corner, the single is reaching its peak which will in turn launch the album appropriately. They released Bleeding Love to iTunes in December 2007 in the US, knowing that it had to be out there to peak around the time of the album launch (April 2008). That was 4 months, so in this sense 2 months is far shorter;

 

2. She's promoting the track on America's Got Talent's finale tomorrow night, and then VH1 Divas on Thursday night. The download spike from both those shows (particularly the former which is expected to get around 15 million tomorrow) was probably just too good an opportunity to miss.

Looks like Mika's not gonna be around for long.
