October 16, 200916 yr ouch at The Saturdays falling to No.7 in the albums... bloody Vera Lynn again :drama: really good for Alexandra/Robbie with iTunes missing again :o
October 16, 200916 yr Sorry, but that includes yesterdays full sales doesn't it? So alex woulda made only 20,000 downloads, got about 4,000k worth of physical's, and prob won't get to the 200,000 mark right?
October 16, 200916 yr Author OH, not again, those are really yesterdays mids with iTunes data added :drama: Funny enough if you add another 25k to Tues sales brings you 139k for Wednesday, so if you add another 25k for yesterday technically speaking it should be around 164k, so can we make it around 164k :heehee:
October 16, 200916 yr Author Ahhh, so alex sold about 21,000 downloads? Yep, those are her missing iTunes data for Weds practically not forgetting physicals for Thurs included, basically what we have today is Weds mids with Physicals for Thurs, my guess she will probably done the same for Thursday. I reckon she still clear 200k by the end of Saturday, there are still Friday and Saturdays sales to be added, I reckon around 22k for Friday and possibility 27-30k for Saturday.
October 16, 200916 yr Wednesday (no missing data): 114k Thursday (missing Apple): 118.4k Friday (missing Apple): 139.4k Alex did 4.4k non-Apple in yesterday's mids. Assuming a slightly lower 4k non-Apple mids today that would take yesterday's corrected mids for her to 135.4k with Apple sales added, so Alex sold 21.4k during Wednesday retail ahead of Thursday's mids (4.4k non-Apple + 17k Apple). Add in another 17k of Apple retail sales for yesterday to today's mids, and we get these adjusted figures: Wednesday (no missing data): 114k Thursday (adjusted): 135.4k Friday (adjusted): 156.4k Edited October 16, 200916 yr by 6weeksatnumber7

October 16, 200916 yr Yep I agree, probably get a big day tomorrow and take her flying past 200k. From the 4.4k/21.4k looks like iTunes is accounting for around 80% of her sales after all the pre-order and release date sales have passed.
October 16, 200916 yr I want Madonna to overtake Shakira! :P I think she will over wkend no probs as Madonna has done better sales over wkend  . She overtook Babs on wkend sales but Babs was ahead on the Mon -Fri sales, so fingers crossed she will just slip to No3 on sundays album chart pretty good going considering all new studio albums out this week.
October 16, 200916 yr The saturdays album should be no1! But like i said, i think it'll sell well up to xmas because ego is quite fantastic. I always thought they were a bit brave releasing the album on FIO only. Edited October 16, 200916 yr by andyboiuk
October 16, 200916 yr Ryan, if you are around, can you tell me where is Medina and David Guetta - When Love Takes Over? Thanks :D
October 16, 200916 yr I can see Shakira ending up number 5 in the albums come sunday although i hope she stays top 3 and with the way the saturdays are going they will be number 9 sunday and will probably end up having the ame peak as their debut album
October 16, 200916 yr I think album sales are so low now because people are preferring to download individual tracks and not bother with the full cd. With the trend to shuffle on ipods etc now, people are getting used to listening to a mix of acts rather than putting an acts cd in and then having to change it over to hear another artist. Thats my opinion anyway. you're right.. plus illegal downloading and albums being available 2 to 3 weeks online (illegaly through music blogs) earlier than release dates makes it hard for albums to sell well when released... Everyone i know stopped buying CD's alltogether since they now prefer to download it illegaly and would only buy the real thing if they like it 100%... back in the 90's there was no way to listen to an album b4 buying it, that's why i used to buy a lot of albums based on 1 single and then i would regret buying it afterwards if the other tracks suck... Now i can listen to the whole album via stream sites and YouTube and then if i really like it i would buy it, and even i usually wait for a special edition of the album to be released.... ^_^ Edited October 16, 200916 yr by Big Mistake
October 16, 200916 yr Hmmm. I expected Paolo & BEP to be in todays as they were nearer top 20 yesterday (itunes). However they definetly both will by sunday if they don't fall lots. Edited October 16, 200916 yr by RobSummers

I think Paolo, BEP and Dionne Bromfield will all show their top 40 faces on Sunday. Lots of newies this week in the top 40 - Alex, Rob, Michael, Prophets, Hudson, Editors, Big Pink, JHud, maybe Dionne, maybe Paolo, maybe BEP :o I would guess Paolo will be around #35, Dionne anywhere from #31 to #40, BEP will probably just miss out this week a la Paparazzi. BEP and Lady GaGa have had VERY similar chart successes this year, but with GaGa outselling and outstaying BEP. Edited October 16, 200916 yr by Bray 'n' Status
