Until one of the two confirms it - especially when one is only that age - no names can be mentioned.

It shows how serious it is when even the media have to sit on it due to the X Lawyers putting on so much pressure.

To Reiterate

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT SPECULATE OR MENTION ANY NAMES. POSTING LIBELLIOUS ALLEGATIONS COULD GET US INTO TROUBLE.

Yes, Please do not mention names as we don't want to get into any trouble!

Its obvious now anyway.

Very sad for Lloyd :(

And Olly's reaction was so selfish, can't stand the man at all now. Hope he goes next.

I'd like to re-iterate that as well. It will all come out very soon I am sure. But there's a reason the media can't say anything, and the site could get shut down so it's best nothing is mentioned at all upon the subject. I thought it was just a rumour myself, but it appears not. But that's the last on the subject now.

Just another pointer it is all over other forums if you search so not sure why it is not allowed to be posted here.

It's just a case of covering our backs. BuzzJack is a pretty big music forum now, and could easily be shut down, or Phil (the owner) could be sued. Sure it's all over other forums and is pretty much all over the internet but that doesn't mean it's OK for everyone to talk about it and not worry about the consequences. What can really be discussed about it? Nothing!

I just find it weird if someone on here said Stacey and Olly are rumoured to be dating this is ok but when two guys are rumoured to be dating it is liable. Screams of homophobia to me.
I would also like to say that 'that age' is perfectly legal in the uk no one has done anything wrong!

Actually it's statutory rape, which last time i check is rather illegal.

When you people you accuse of being in a relationship are breaking the law to do so it is liable regardless of wether it is a straight or gay couple.

Homophobia is not and never will be an issue on this forum.

There is no way it is homophobia.

But issues like this create a lot of controversy, see the whole Adam Lambet thing. I can see why the team behind X Factor want the issue under wraps for the time being as it could create an unfair advantage/disadvantage to the contests due to the media attention.

But it's not, is it? I'm sure all contestants are above the age of consent. I think it used to be 18 for this case, but that changed some time this decade?

It's certainly not homophobia from the forum itself, more the show trying to protect those in question and possibly respect their wishes? It's been pointed out to us that threads on other forums discussing this are being pulled, so it'd be appreciated if we could keep this discussion on the 'down low'. (PM)

Has it? last time i was in Soc Ed and we were doin sex ed it was 18  That was quite a while back tho, so perhaps it has changed.

Ok, in that case i am much mistaken, it isn't Statutory Rape. I am sorry Rated R, you are correct it is legal in the UK.

yes the main reason lawyers are involved is of course to prevent the outcry this story being published would bring. Sure 16 is the age but given any relevent age gaps it wont look good - for the person or the show.

Until one of them speaks, with no proof, any paper running the story could be sued for defamation of character - likewise BJ, Digital Spy or any other place which names people straight out.

Exactly. It's basically Ass coving, pure and simple

It's not pretty, it's a right pain in the ass. But it is becoming increasingly neccesary in the world in which we live.

I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. There is clearly some prejudice there and I don't mean from this forum, sorry if I meant it to sound like that earlier. Saying two people have a thing for each other is not really defamation of character.

And I'm pretty sure the issue can be discussed here as no one has actually posted they are an item that it is just hear say within the media. From what I have personally heard there have been various incidents going on to cover it up and the whole X Factor in Crisis in the NOTW the other week 'the story' was the one they were going to break but there was a prevention of this.

And to whomever said Simon Cowell cannot prevent what is written in these papers. Being BFF's with the Murdochs pretty much ensures he can.

Yes it is a pain in the ass, but thats just tough $h!t tbh. It's just one of those things we have to deal with. And legally speaking it is deformation of character as the accusations are effectively outing someone before they have come out. Which in legal terms is deformation of character/slander. Trust me on this, i live with 2 lawyers.

I really think it is best not to talk about this at all, i imagine lawyers connected with whoever is concerned will

be monitoring the internet closely for any mention of the story.

Any slight mention of it however small could lead to someone accidentally slipping up.

What? Sorry but this is nonsense. Olly was not selfish. He was only doing what everyone else would have done, had they been bottom 2 the week before, and was again one of the last ones to be called out, to go through to the semi finals, on a show which could potentially make you a big star in the UK. He is probably the most genuine contestant in there at the moment imo.

Anyway. Brilliant performances from both Alicia and Rihanna. I was pleasently surprised by Rihanna, as I know she really isn't that good a live singer, but that was by far her strongest vocal performance to date imo. Alicia, well she really speaks for herself
