I really dislike the new Chipmunk song

Will he ever release a song without a featured artist?

He already has.

'Chip Diddy Chip'.

Anyway, it's not as if he relies on big names to sell - so far his official singles with collabs have been collabs with Loick Essien, Emeli Sandé, Dayo Olatunji and Talay Riley. Not really household names.

But he requires more commercial sounds/voices.

But he requires more commercial sounds/voices.

To do well commercially will always practically require commercial sounds/voices though won't it?

So is his success false, then?

All rappers need someone else to do the chorus for them. Chipmunk has had numerous artists.....DJ Ironik had Elton John, Tinchy Stryder had N-Dubz and Amelle Berrabah. Even Dizzee Rascal has borrowed voices from other artists in his hits (Dirtee Cash, Holiday, Dance Wiv Me).

'Look For Me' is amazing  Definately the highlight (along with 'Oopsy Daisy' :P) on his album. Really pleased it's managed to go Top 10 on itunes at LEAST.

If you want to put it that way, then yes, but the same applies to every other brit-hop artist.

If Chipmunk or Tinchy Stryder or Dizzee Rascal released a single without any guests, it would be lucky to go top 20 - Chip Diddy Chip peaked at #21, and as far as I'm aware the highest peaking solo single by any of the pack of brit-hop artists is Dizzee's #10 hit 'Stand Up Tall'. The concept of a brit-hop song without guest vocals does not work commercially... I'm not counting Bonkers here, because although it only has Dizzee's vocals, it doesn't have any verses, it's just a chorus repeated 3 times.

Another flop for Cascada.. :(

I really don't understand how Evactuate The Dancefloor got to #1 while Dangerous and probably Fever are flops, they're so much better tbh..

I actually like the new Cascada song :o

I don't know if I prefer it over 'Evacuate The Dancefloor' atm. Because it's a bit similar. :heehee:
