Worst Xmas song

Hopefully The Pogues can chart at at least #12 if not #11.

Eww, mariah carey. Hate this song! Plus Dev, its not a re entry! God sake...

 what a huge mistake

I don't really like Mariah Carey but I can't deny that this is definitely my all time favourite Christmas song.
40  (from 63) Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas [D]

Chart Run 1988: 72-61-53 [3 wks]

Chart Run: 63-63-40 [3 wks]

British guitar hero Chris Rea may be heavily influenced by American blues, but curiously the U.S. is one of the few places where he hasn't achieved star status. Across Europe, he's widely known for his searing blues-rock guitar style, deep gravelly vocals, and songs that range from dark and moody rock to amiably radio-friendly pop. He was even the recipient of a remixing treatment that brought him a dance-club hit in 2000. His latter-day material, however, found him embracing his beloved blues roots once more. - HMV

Second in three years that this tune made the 40 for Mr. Rea who is mostly a 1-hit wonder here in the US with "Fool (if you think it's OVer).

Won't hear anything against All I Want For Christmas Is You. http://www.boardaloud.co.uk/images/smilies/Hand.gif

Haha at it reaching its highest position of the year the week after Christmas week (yes I know why this is ;)). #18 is also the highest its ever been post-Christmas since its charted on downloads. Gonna fall out of the Top 200 from #18.

I love them too.. but yep we are in the minority unfortunately

By the looks of their sales, at least we're not in the minority of the UK!

 what a huge mistake

But a re-entry to the top 20! Say this Dev is best presenter of the show in 30 years!

I'm quite shocked that one Mariah Carey's biggest hits never got to #1 :o I love 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'...it's the ultimate Christmas song :kink:

Love it!

I don't know, I think he's quite boring tbh. :(

I read the other day that East 17 (the single that beat it to #1) outsold it in Christmas week by only 15,000 copies. :(

Well she has only had two #1s... both of which are shoddy cover versions but nevermind.

It was against the 4 week chart topper that was East 17's Stay Another Day.

Where do Radio 1 find their presenters? "Crap DJ" school??
