I hadn't considered the iTunes gift card effect. Most people, me included, thought Wiley had a strong chance of going top 10 so to enter at no. 22 instead, that's why I thought he'd drop. Also the fact dance singles do well physically in the first week and then sales tail off in the second week (this will most likely happen to 'Riverside' next week).

In the meantime, Journey are still selling like hot cakes on iTunes. Simon Cowell really did make a terrible decision to use 'The Climb' for the winners single. It must be the third worst performing X Factor winners' single behind Steve Brookstein (did 'Against All Odds' even sell 200k in total?) and Leon Jackson (three weeks at no. 1 but not big selling single).

Maybe there is something wrong with Simon Cowell's ears first lumbering poor Leona with Happy and then Joe with The Climb, did he not know that Dont Stop Believing would be everywhere because of Glee.Louis Walsh though thinks that the Climb will go on to sell over one million and may end up the biggest selling winners single.

Simon Cowel has $h!t taste in music. Louise must also be deaf - The Climb is tailing off to quickly to sell a million, surely.

Even I would have liked Don't Stop Believing. Bad mistake.

The albums that has gone past expectations in the top 10 is Will Young and Snow Patrol, they must be selling consistantly for the past few weeks, I never expected these two GHs albums do so well where Madonna bombed, mind you Madonna has had 2 previous GHs albums.

Would hardly say Madonna's GH bombed did far better sales than Britney & Janets G.H for example & yes it is her third/fourth if count "Something to Remember" as a G.H album. So get facts rite next time

Is this the same Louis Walsh who said to Joe McElderry, Olly Muirs and Stacey Soloman "i want to see you in the final tomorrow"?

Mind you Simon Cowell said The Idols 'Happy Xmas (Way Is Over)' ** shudder ** would be the biggest selling single of 2003.

I bought that Idols single :drama:

I still like it too :P

YES! sats #10, hope they can stick there or climb a bit!

20+10

I hope Florence get her first #1, but i think is impossible... :(

The album was only about 1000 behind Paolo Nutini yesterday. Whether that gap has narrowed or widened, I have no idea. After being denied a possible five weeks at number one last year by a sheer bad luck - releasing the album just as Michael Jackson popped his clogs - it would be great if they could make it even if just for one week.
