January 29, 201015 yr Release date confirmed: 7th February (CD day after) Full line up: Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole, James Blunt, James Morrison, JLS, Joe McElderry, Jon Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Michael Buble, Mika, Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Susan Boyle, Take That, Westlife Dissapointing line up in my opinion, too many of these acts are either X factor or were on the show at least once- and no Florence! Still dreading hearing this, but Im all for charity so I hope it sells well :)
January 29, 201015 yr Disappointing - it's very much 'SyCo & Friends ft. James Blunt and James Morrison' Edited January 29, 201015 yr by BrayFish
January 29, 201015 yr Have to admit, that line up is extremely poor. It's practically all the acts that have appeared on The X Factor over the last few series with Mika, James Blunt and James Morrison thrown in. No doubt it'll still be UK no. 1 selling bucketloads. People should by buying bucketloads of 'Stranded' instead. :( If you really want to help Haiti, why wait another two weeks when there's a perfect opportunity right now to help. -_-
January 29, 201015 yr One of Take That, told 'The Sun' that he hopes the Single will not only help the people of Haiti, but will rebuild the entire Country - as good as - if not better - than before the Earthquake! So, he thinks that it will make BILLIONS, by the sounds of it! Talk about naive! Talk about silly. Why on Earth don't they simply ALL hand over 5% of their Savings NOW - why do a stupid Cover, that is not even out until February? Simon Cowell says the Single is his/their No.1 priority - WRONG. Simon Cowell, & his explicit, & obvious self promotion is his No.1 priority..... The whole thing reaks of a 'Aren't we all caring?', Publicity Stunt - by people who cannot live without praise & without Media attention. Sadly, some people fall for Cowell's stunts every time. They are the ones who make him rich. He loves such people.....And, in the meantime, Haiti needs money NOW..... Edited January 29, 201015 yr by zeus555
January 29, 201015 yr I don't know about any of the others on the list, but cheryl and ashley cole together with John terry and Joe cole have donated £900,000 to DEC. So it's not like they aren't giving their own money away too.
January 29, 201015 yr Some good singers there (Florence, Kylie, etc) Shame it's going to be ruined by JLS and Joe though :( I think Joe and Jls will do well on the single
January 29, 201015 yr One of Take That, told 'The Sun' that he hopes the Single will not only help the people of Haiti, but will rebuild the entire Country - as good as - if not better - than before the Earthquake! OK Zeus ... we get that you don't like Take That! But what he said was actually true. No-one gave a toss about Haiti (not even its own Government) before this tragedy ... so don't slag off Howard or Jason for saying this. We get that you think someone is more noble than the rest ... but every single one of them (whilst I have no doubt have a tear in their eye and hand on their heart) see this as a good photo-opportunity. This recording (an easy cover ... not an originally written song ... as Band Aid '84) could have been turned around in 48 hours max given modern technology ... but I suppose one has to have time to have the make-up just right for the photography! I don't care who calls me a cynical old cow ... this tragedy needs a remedy now ... not a 'release date of 7th February'! The Yanks were quick off the mark to help (and I'm the first to criticise our colonial cousins) so I don't see what makes us drag our heels. Norma

January 30, 201015 yr Not being funny, but if this was truly made in the interests of the people of Haiti why haven't they got it rush released asap? It looks like they've chosen a late date to release (when help is needed NOW!) and chosen a specific date to release in order to get the highest possible chart position!!
January 30, 201015 yr Yeh they really have taken too long with this.. Anyone know when we will hear it & if a video is being made
January 30, 201015 yr Yeah, it seems to be losing the momentum of the cause, Haiti is not in the news as much now as say 1-2 weeks ago. People are fickle. I very much doubt it will sell more than 1million copies.
January 30, 201015 yr One word HYPE, Cowelll's speciality!Simon never said anything about getting GaGa and Beyonce on the record did he? That was all speculation/rumours by the public/fans. Still really looking forward to hearing this.
January 30, 201015 yr Can't follow this. What is the final final line up? Chart Wizard posted the list at the top of this page
January 30, 201015 yr Yeh they really have taken too long with this.. Anyone know when we will hear it & if a video is being made The video was recorded when the people recorded their vocals, it's basically going to be shots of the singers at the recording mic Edited January 30, 201015 yr by outlook
