Pendulum - Watercolour?

I think I could see it happening, especially as there seems to be a real lack of WOOF singles.

The prospects for the next few months are bleak. No big indie or rock band albums coming either.

My Chemical Romance are about as big as you're going to get this year

To think this time last year we'd already had U2 and The Prodigy with Green Day on the horizon and Muse still to come.

Pretty sure Coldplay and Linkin Park might have new albums out this year? Possibly The Killers/Kings of Leon too. Although all those will probably be in the final quarter of the year... so a while to go yet.

KoL won't be out until later, certainly... apparently The Killers are working on a covers album due out by the end of 2010 whereas LP are expected back sooner, probably soon after Limp Bizkit's new album to steal their thunder  It's thought that the new album will be "genre-busting" and "apocalyptic" and will have a bigger "thread of consistency" than 'Minutes to Midnight' and Rick Rubin is returning as producer. All of which excites me greatly, I seem to be the only one who thought their last one was their best

Coldplay, who knows...

Coldplay should get a second #1 providing the new single isn't really bad.

But it's COLDPLAY - so that's hardly a problem ;o

I've now heard Watercolour - it should hopefully get Pendulum a second top 10 ^_^

ugh, just heard that Professor Green 'Need You Tonight' song that's being tipped for #1 by some people in full

it's like Blazin' Squad's brothers got together to murder a classic especially tailored for back of the bus chavs :drama: #1 beckons :magic:

'I Need You Tonight' is so hilariously bad it's good. I should hate this song but I find it really funny to listen to.

Please NO, or else I walk on GLASS -_-

You might be needing a pair of shoes more than ever in five weeks time. :P

Here's my predictions for no. 1 over the next few weeks - let's see how many of these I get wrong.

28/03/10 = Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce - Telephone

04/04/10 = Plan B - She Said

11/04/10 = Kate Nash - Do Wah Doo

18/04/10 = Professor Green feat. Ed Drewett - I Need You Tonight

25/04/10 = Diana Vickers - Once

02/05/10 = Diana Vickers - Once

After this I really haven't a clue what could be no. 1 com middle of May.

One more for everyone,

Kevin Rudolf - I Made It.

YES! (Well at least I HOPE!) It's sounds like a 2009/2010 number 1. Should do really well.

But :o The Killers are releasing this year?! AHHH! So excited already! HAHA.

Scouting For Girls 'This Ain't A Love Song' seems to be pretty big at the moment, will that momentum last for them to get a number 1? Pendulum, I dunno. I can't see them getting a number 1, Top 10 (pushing for top 5 definately). Number 1? Hmm... I can't see it happening personally. Although I'd like it too...

Also Chipmunk & Esmee vs. Diana!

I'm gonna try and guess week by week no.1's... Here goes nothing

22nd Mar: Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce - Telephone

29th Mar - Plan B - She Said

5th Apr - Kate Nash - Do Wah Do

12th Apr - Kate Nash - Do Wah Do

19th Apr - Diana Vickers - Once

Then I have no clue... Very bleak looking schedule tbh

^^PROFESSOR GREEN SCREAMS UK NO1 SIMPLY COS ITS JUST SO BAD!!

¬_¬

It's not bad at all ;o but yes, it will be #1.

I would love a great rock number 1 like Welcome to the black parade, Sex on fire, Viva la Vida and (whatever the circumstances) Killing In The Name

It would really make a change for urban all the time which the charts seems to be dominated by these days

It would be great if LP could do it, but I doubt they can - If coldplay did it, I would be SO happy      favourite band EVER, not set a foot wrong musically imo

Pendulum for #1! I liked them before but a friend of mine at uni takes me to all these raves and Pendulum are the in thing!

I really am not a huge fan of anything coming up this side of May tbh. Not enough for me to want it to get to #1.

I think Scouting For Girls, Chipmunk & Esmee and the horrific massacre of INXS will do it though...

*Though I am looking forward to returns from The Killers, Avril, Christina, Katy Perry, MCR, Linkin Park, Kylie and Kings Of Leon at some point this year. ^_^

the futureheads wont - top 15 at best - the beginning of the twist was classic futureheads and was radio 1 alisted but only made like 17 in the chart :(

hope pendulum bring the release date forward - its already on radio1 s playlist and isnt out until 2/5!!

I'm pretty sure Christina will do it with her comeback if the song is strong enough. Seems to be alot of hype around it atm.
Taio Cruz & Ke$ha Dirty Picture sounds to me like a strong contender, not to mention they are both very popular right now. It is guaranteed to be massive in the clubs.

Its called 'Not Myself Tonight' and more big news is coming on Christina's official website at 16:00 tomorow about it :w00t: ! So excited, I love Xtina and think she can get a number 1! Anyone think Adam Lambert could be a suprise smash ^_^ ?
