The album is good but I don't think it's great. Three years is a long time to wait for a 'good' album - Leona should be bringing out AMAZING albums with no filler tracks. Not sure how this will do internationally - let's not forget Trouble only came in at 21 in Ireland and Glassheart hasn't been too high on Irish iTunes. I just hope she manages to get to No. 1 with the album here!!!

The obvious standouts for me are I To You, Glassheart and Trouble which I think are really great. Not crazy on Come Alive - sounds a bit messy. Sadly, the rest of the album passes me by a little.

Wonder what the second (or third!) single will be?

Not off to the best start. She's number 2 in the midweeks, 2.5k behind Jake Bugg. Given that the sales are no doubt fairly low (surely no more than 10k at this stage) that's a big lead already. I hope she can pull it back over the week.
Not much love for Favourite Scar, really interesting use of a sample although I keep thinking she's going to break into Britney's Circus when she sings 'all eyes on me...' Really like Lovebird and I To You on the first listen to which don't seem to be causing much of a reaction here...
Sad, but I don't think it's really anything special. There aren't any 'omg stop' tracks, but that's because she's a great vocalist. I still don't think it's very interesting, and I thought this would be the album to change that opinion :/

I don't know if anyone's seen fairsharemusic before but if you download #Glassheart from them 50% of the profits go to charity

Pretty cool idea! :D

Plus it's only a fiver!

xx

There are some good tracks on the new album. My favourites are trouble, lovebirds, when it hurts and glassheart. However, disappointed the left off the original version of collide and missed off "hurt" completely. Some of the songs are pretty average in my opinion and nothing to write home about. I doubt she will have massive success this time round and fear this could be her last album under her current label.

It's a stronger album than I expected actually! Glassheart is by far and away the best track, but I also love Fireflies, Lovebird, Come Alive and Unlove You as well as obviously Trouble.

The begining of Shake It Up is SO irritating though, she sounds so awkward  Minor stupid niggle I'm aware.

I'm very pleasantly surprised by this album. After one listen there weren't any stand out tracks for me, aside from Glassheart but that's probably because I was already familiar with it but I really enjoyed every song and it flows brilliantly :)

I'll do a top five:

1. Glassheart

2. Come Alive

3. Shake You Up

4. Fireflies

5. Stop The Clocks

I really love this album though!

Loving this album so much, I'd rank them:

1. Glassheart

2. Come Alive

3. Un Love Me

4. Trouble

5. I To You

6. Shake You Up

7. When It Hurts

8. Fingerprint

9. Lovebird

10. Fireflies

11. Stop the Clocks

12. Favourite Scar

If I included Sugar that would be at number 3.

I'd rank them thus:

01 Unlove Me

02 I To You

03 When It Hurts

04 Fireflies

05 Come Alive

06 Trouble

07 Lovebird

08 Fingerprint

09 Favourite Scar

10 Glassheart (the acoustic version would be 6th)

11 Shake You Up

12 Stop The Clocks

It's not as good as Echo, obviously, but it's still leaps and bounds ahead of Spirit.

Ok so Glassheart is #2 in the midweeks today. Only a few thousand copies away from that #1 spot (but also only a few thousand away from the #3 spot).

Few bits of good news Leona has BBC News Breakfast tomorrow morning, This Morning Friday morning, and Stand Up For Cancer Friday night. I just hope those promo slots will push her to that #1 spot, but i'm not sure how likely it is she'll make #1. Lets hope Saturday is a big day for Glassheart buying!

Even though #2 is a great peak for an album the critics will be out straight away so hoping for that #1!

It's only £4.99 on Amazon (MP3 Download) and £7.99 on iTunes (£10.99 deluxe which is such a bargain considering how much you get for it and the higher version (#2)) and £10 in HMV (£13 deluxe) Get your copy. :P

I'd be more concerned with the seemingly woeful sales. Apparently it was on 10.5k yesterday, so she'll be looking at 25-30k for the week. That's less than 20% of what Echo opened with.
Glassheart will still sell well though, Leona's filming video for second single next week so that'll be around end of Nov/Dec, i'm sure they'll have some good promo coming up, I really just want to see it at #1, but I dont know how likely that is now tbh.

Disapointing sales for Glassheart. I would have expected something in the range of 75-105k not 30k :( :o

Nothing is lost yet in terms of sales (if the next single does well) but I doubt she will stand a chance to return to no1 if she doesn't do this today really. Much heavier competition coming up later this month. And after the festive period it will be time for the alternative/indie releases... I really hope she could somehow snatch the no1 this week. It is such a same that glassheart cannot have a week at the top of the charts on a year without rain (so far) for music. Appart from an Adelle streak followed by the satisfying success of Our Version of Events (I love it) there has been too little to see in the album charts lately.

But, tbh she's still at #2 (and the #1 is "only" less than 5k away!) so it just shows you what sort of state the climate is in as opposed to her not being able to get the sales etc...

She was on this morning! I missed it :( But I'm hoping it increased her sales for today. I think Leona has a good shot at #1 still.

I can't see the album selling more than 300k. The single looks like dropping out the top ten after just one week and midweek sales figures suggest she will be lucky to sell 30k of the album. There just doesnt seem much of a buzz about Leona anymore and she will face heavy competition in the weeks to come from the likes of Olly Murs and One Direction who appear to have a more solid fanbase. Shame really as she is by far the strongest female singer to come from the show.

I'm actually very disappointed, I knew it wasn't going to do 100k or anything but I thought about 60-75k and comfortably a #1 album... It's a great album too, it's not as if it's a Heartbreak On Hold style huge disappointment material wise. Glassheart (the song) could at least do a damn good job of trying to save the album and probably do quite well as a single though, so at least she has somewhere to go.
