Who is she anyway? She has a weird accent... Song's generic as, but somehow she makes it (a little bit) interesting...

A long time ago I remember watching an episode of Oprah, and I believe this girl was being interviewed by her. Apparently she was quite lucky to be invited on to the show. She had a terrible childhood with an abusive dad (if I remember correctly), but she had always loved to sing. Actually she sung so beautifully, that combined with that talent and her childhood, Celine Dion wanted Charice to sing with her on one of her concerts, as Charice was a major fan of Celine as well. This must have brought her (Charice) a place in the music business.

I think so. But I think it was more down down to Oprah... I don't really know LOL. I just know she performed a JoJo song on Oprah and shot to the top on US iTunes after, with Joao being the only one to hate it :heehee:

Neither did I. :o Don't think it'll win, but I'm surprised it seems to appeal to a diverse selection of people. After Zech said it probably wouldn't be good enough for points I kinda scratched off the possibility of it getting much crossover, but it's looking possible that my initial excitement for the song could be justified.

Zechonia is intensely difficult to please. I made the mistake of basing two of my entries on his opinion. Which is good if you're trying to rack up 19th place finishes at least :kink:

Oh, I know that. But I was sort of hoping it would appeal to those with a more alternative taste, and you tend to be a decent bench mark for that usually.
