I know there's no point as it's only been the first show but already William Hill has odds up! Kieran (drummer) is fave to win, Chloe (singer) is 2nd.

Re; Holly Steele if she hadn't had her mini diva strop midway through her performance forgetting the lyrics then maybe, just maybe, some record company executive might've had more high hopes for Holly.

As it is, Holly provided one of 2009's biggest car crash TV moments. Hence why would anyone want to sign a young 10 year old who clearly can't handle the stress of fame. Even 6 year old Connie Talbot from the first series of BGT coped better. Being younger, she could've had a bad case of stage fright or forgetting her lyrics but she didn't.

To conclude, you either have it or you don't. Hollie doesn't.

Part One

Castanets Lady - Ridiculous, how can these people think they have talents.

Naked Fire Lady - Ridiculous, would've probably liked it if I didn't have the British flag staring me in the face.

Regurgitator Man - Why did I love this? SO CLEVER.

OH. EMM. EFF. GEE. Wow, that was superb! I definately think they'll be top 3, if not win already!! :o
Omg the guy swallowing the coins were so weird but kind of cool! :o :P
Those gymnasts were brilliant. At times there was almost too much going on so that it was hard to follow it all. The pop/opera crossover act showed promise but it needs some work. Typical of Cowell to buzz an act trying to do something different almost immediately.
Didn't really connect with the final singer :( Really enjoyed the gymnasts and for all the wrong reasons the classical college band covering the US hits
I agree with Theo, Spellbound are the early front runners

Gymnasts easily best act so far, the singer was good, but I agree with gooddelta, didnt really connect

I quite liked the pop crossover act, its different and the guy who ate coins was amazing- but a little uncomfortable to watch at times

I also liked the Gaga impersonator :kink:

Spellbound's first audition was extraordinary. It actually looked like this was the Royal Variety Performance. The only act tonight who really seriously caught my attention. Absolutely brilliant and would definitely be worthy winners.

As for the students doing classic versions of US pop hits, G4 anyone? Even the young lad who sang looked like a young version of the G4 lead singer. Therefore it wasn't an original concept. :P

The lad at the end. Great voice but an introvert person desperately trying to be extrovert just doesn't happen. If he gets through to the live finals, he'll be like that man from last years series who suffered from stage fright. It'll look very awkward and uncomfortable to watch.

The regurgitator came to my student union in freshers week! :heehee:

When I saw him first I thought I recognised him from somewhere, but it only clicked once he said what he was doing. Ha!

GYMNASTS TO WIN, PLEASE.
THIS! My spine literally tingled! Superb.

Agreed. I wish these flipping nervous, unexpected classical singers would go away. First Paul, then SuBo & now this guy! ERGH! He'll be fave to win now no doubt :puke:

That Regurgitator guy was amazing haha.

Surely the lead singer of that Opera-cum-Pop has got to be related in some way to Jonathon Ansell of G4 - he was a spitting image.

I thought that to!!! :o

The gymnasts where AMAZING, and so was that guy coughing up that stuff.

I found this weeks show much more enjoyable this week.

Classical pop. GaGa. Coin swallower. Naked fire woman. Gymnasts. And the guitar playing dog was quite funny

Stevie Starr the regurgitator has been around doing it for over 20 years and been on TV all around the world. There are several Youtube clips of him. He has a long big scar down his chest and the theory is that he's had some kind of surgery to help him do this. He swallows a light-bulb too. Also padlock and key. The padlock is locked when he swallows it and comes up unlocked! It's not a trick and he really does swallow everything! Someone who was at the auditions said he got Piers up on stage. He swallowed a handful of sugar followed by a glass of water and regurgitated the sugar up completely dry in to Piers' hand. ITV chose to show the coins though. He was in a childrens' home as a teenager and he swallowed another lad's 50p piece and gave him five 10p pieces from his stomach! :o He's appeared at lots of Uni fresher week and finals parties. Hardly a new act then!! Thought it was about discovering NEW talent?

I don't remember it ever being said that the talent had to be new or an amateur. This show's all about exposure and for this kind of act you'd expect them to have years of experience. I'd say 'new talents' are the exception on this show. The novelty acts (magicians, dogs etc.) have probably done paid party/pub/club work, the singers and dancers have probably entered competitions before etc.
