kelis goes to itunes this sunday...

It's recently entered the French iTunes, currently at #837 over there.

 Hope its top 40 soon!

Same :)

It should prob go top 75 this week in the official charts (hopefully) and then possibly sneak a top 40 placing in next weeks chart... or that could just be wishful thinking... hopefully it will continue to climb :)

Lots of new releases on Sunday:

Kelis

Professor Green

Kate Nash

Selena Gomez

The Futureheads

Christina Aguilera (we think)

Cascada (maybe)

Paul Weller too but I think he'll be mainly a physical seller.

And on Monday also MGMT - Flash Delirium from album downloads. (The single is on iTunes but you can't buy it )

So could it be all change in the top 10? I'd like to see Kelis, Kate, Selena & Christina make the top 10, Cascada too, if it's released, and I don't see Professor Green missing the top 10.

So i'll be buying Christina and Kelis this week, Diana next week, Adam the week after, Sophie the week after that and then Alexandra the week after that ^_^

It looks like Ridin' Solo will climb back into the top 40 soon! Has it been getting good airplay yet?

I heard it only once on the radio, on Galaxy (in Birmingham), about 2 weeks ago. It was actually quite strange, as the song sounded different. I think they took the Bittersweet Symphony strings out for the single, but surely won't they still be on the album version (which is what everybody is buying, at the moment)?

Kelis better not be as successful as people on here predict it to be. -_-

If Kelis is out, I seriously hope it can prevent Professor Green (the worst song of the year by FAR and won't be beaten) going to #1.

*cough* Helping Haiti *cough*

I liked Everybody Hurts! And I like Acapella too.

I haven't heard the Professor Green song enough to judge it really. It seems quite repetitive, but worst song of the year is quite extreme! What about Tik Tok? :D

That's 2009. But Blah Blah Blah is definitely up there.

Yeah, it did come out in 2009 (I actually first heard it in the Summer), but 2010 is the year where it peaked in most countries. I think think Australia and the UK are the main ones where it peaked in 2009.

Infact, Tik Tok is currently the European number one, and it was number one in the USA all January and February I think. In the future, I think it'll be seen as a 2010 song, even if it was released in 2009. This is what often happens with popular singles released at the end of the year.

I don't mind Blah Blah Blah that much. I think it's more unique. Tik Tok seemed to be a combination of about 10 other songs, and then made into 8-bit.

Good lord, I couldn't agree more.

I'm so sick of all these chav boys rapping in their terrible accents, most times over an old song, and it getting to #1.

'TiK ToK' is fantastic, but as someone said, it's 2009.

Anyway, it's the worst song of the year because it's basically using the backing track of INXS' timeless 'Need You Tonight' in a lazy way, with some talentless tramp just adding a lame rap over the top. It's taken unoriginality way too far now.
