Yet it beat B.o.B ft Hayley Williams & She & Him in a weekly popularity contest on a very popular Radio 2 show. It can't be that uncommercial. As unlike Florence Welch's usual sub-Siouxsie Dallion/Kate Bush wailings she actually sings on the track for a change as legendary Talking Heads writer David Byrne told her to just "fukkin sing the bloody song" when recording the track, hence her unusually pure sounding vocal, superior to anything on her very overrated first album.

 

FFS it is the title track from this fantastic critically acclaimed concept album about the life of Imelda Marcus which also features such BJ unfriendly artists such as Sia; Roisin Murphy; Martha Wainwright; Tori Amos; Santigold; Cyndi Lauper; Camille; Candie Payne & Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond). Not exactly BJSC unfriendly artists fodder are they. :lol:

As others have said, Radio 2 =/= BJSC. I'm sure you could find loads of Radio 2 tracks that would bomb here :P And you can't judge that it will do well just because of the fact it's on an album with other BJSC friendly artists - if the song isn't up to much, then people aren't going to vote for it just because artists they like also have collaborated on the same album :lol:

Artists that have previous been entered in ESC or BJSC. I guess the last doesn't matter looking at Delta Goodrem on the list above.

No rules on artists that have been previously entered, except you can't enter the same artist you entered in the last contest. You're free to enter an artist someone else entered last contest though. If you look through the new country registration thread it has all the rules ;)

Of course I won't but trying to work out how it all works. ;)

 

I was going to shortlist Xonia - Take the Lead but I noticed it had a tough time in BJSC 24. :(

Diana Vickers - Once was banlisted for the last two contests, and someone's already entered Alejandro :P
