May 5, 201016 yr Radio 1 exists to support British music. It has gone off track a little, but generally it does not favour very American influenced British music.

May 5, 201016 yr I don't think "All Night Long" even sounds all that American anyway. Perhaps adding Pitbull gave it that sound, but the album version sounds more European than anything. I thought the same about "Bad Boys" as well, people have said they both sound American, but neither strike me as US-friendly, it's definitely more of a European sound. Despite some of the collaborations, I don't think she's got a properly urban track on her album, it's all very much Pop.
May 6, 201016 yr Why are people here so annoyed about All Night Long being snubbed? Hasn't it got enough support elsewhere? We all know how much commercial radio love anything to do with X Factor, so surely Radio 1 should make room for other artists who haven't had the same luxuries as Alexandra. She may have won the show but a large number of the people voted for her aren't the kind of people who'd buy her records. JLS have sold almost TWICE as many albums as her I think that shows who the public's favourite was in the end.
