Rated R must have one of the weirdest chart runs. Ok it's not completey weird but I don't think it's left the top 40 since November yet it hasn't charted any higher than #9(?).

It *is* a bit strange that it's been so constant in the top 40 with such a low peak (that it didn't even reach for several months) but other than that there's not that much in the way of the peculiar there

It really does remind me of I Am...Sasha Fierce's chart run - IASF peaked at #10, fell rapidly (however not out of the top 40) then climbed to a new peak of #9, and then #8 shortly after, then I think it fell to mid top 40 for a while and then when Sweet Dreams came along, it shot up to #3 and then #2 (being held off by Michael Jackson). The Element of Freedom is also another album peaking far after release. Must be something to do with American (/barbadian) females. :D Ke$ha will probably be next. :(

The Element Of Freedom didn't take *that* long

You also glaringly ommitted Lady GaGa. Remember she débuted at #3? ;o

And Rihanna is technically a Barbadian female :P

1) TEoF still took a bit of time to peak.

2) GaGa was high anyway when entering but yes I guess she counts too (her chart run isn't as unexpected and diverse as BeyRi's :kink:)

3) I edited my post before you posted yours. :P

I thought all the urban stuff in the chart was bad, but how the hell did that The Baseballs band get into the album top 5 :D

just caught a "performance" at the end of some new talk show for Dickinson on ITV and that was just hilarious. Singing Rihanna's Umbrella in a "rock n roll" style and sounding terrible, plus shaking about as if they had a twitch (was obviously supposed to be Elvis, has the slick backed hair etc) they must have some sort of major label or had some major promotion behind them but they are completely talentless. I notice the album is full of covers though and most of this country seems to love that, so that's probably it

possibly one of the best laughs I've had in a while sitting watching them

The only thing that makes me laugh are that some of her fans are brutal. Before her single and album release it was here comes the true winner of 2008, the only credible act to come out of X-factor etc.I think there must be alot of red faces at R1 especially Greg James who really seemed to think she was the new face of British pop and would outsell everybody.

I think her sales will pick though.

Yeah 'All Night Long' will outsell 'Once' and I'm not entirely sure if further singles will be a huge success either. I like her now (hated her on X Factor) but I am surprised at the lack of her success really.

 at diana. at rihanna's rated R holding up in the top 20 should stay there for a looooooonnnnnnng time now that te amo is charting. ke$ha is doing really good YLIMD should chart quite high when its officially released :w00t:
'Rated R' has been moved to HMV's "2 for £10" offer btw :D
Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Hope Leeds Aren't Top 10 :(

And with R1 A-Listing. Poor Di. :(

I think The Boy Who Murdered Love will shoot the album back up again - although it's similar to Once (but better :D).

I think 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' is guaranteed top 10 at least, they chose really wisely with that one (and of course that should at least stabilise the album). If she can get a X-Factor slot for her third single then that would be even better. It's not over for her yet.
