Yolanda Be Cool are back in the top 40 now, at #40. They seem to have slowed down a bit, but it's still pretty amazing they've made the top 40 twice based only on being available on a compilation. Hope We No Speak Americano is eventually massive.

I think Enrique will chart at #6 officially. Even if he catches up with the top 5, Kylie has physicals and the top 5 would have sold quite a bit more than him anyway.

 

Still, #6 is amazing for an artist who has been around for 8 years. He's still current evidently.

'Taking Back My Love' is so much better than 'I Like It', imo. Shame the latter is going to peak higher.

His first big UK hit was Bailamos, which got to #4 in 1999, 11 years ago which makes the feat even more impressive! Hero was obviously his biggest hit though.

A shame it only peaked at #12... although it had a great chart run (8 weeks in the Top 20 and 24 weeks in Top 100).

I'm so annoyed about We No Speak Americano. Seriously, I've heard more people playing it than the likes of California Gurls and Alejandro. The usual legal buyers won't buy it legally, if they have to wait much longer. It's just non-sensical not to move the release date, with this much demand. It's gonna miss out on a lot of sales now. :(

 

Also, I think Somebody To Love will finally chart top 40. I think it sounds a bit like All the Lovers, although I've not heard the Usher version yet, if it's much different.p

It must have been a mistake not making it download only, as they've made a few songs album only (not Stromae though which surprises me a little). Considering Americano isn't out for another 3 weeks its very likely going to go top 3 at least

To be fair, the first time I listened to We No Speak Americano, I was a bit like "this is it?", but now I love it! Such a danceable tune! :D

 

I love the Dan Balan and Stromae songs too! The only European song I haven't liked so far this year is Hot, but I'm starting to finally warm to it now.

I'm not a fan of Chica Bomb. We No Speak Americano took a while to grow (although it's not Euro as noted above it's Australian producers) but I love it now, and Alors On Danse I loved from first listen :wub:

 

But I still have a horrible feeling it won't get any sort of promo in the UK and will slip completely under the radar :(

The UK Radio Edit of Alors on danse is on iTunes though, so I suppose they wouldn't benefit from making it album only, as people can get it off Stromae's album anyway. Some of the songs have no other real versions on iTunes, so them being album only is more understandable.
