Kate Nash is officially Missing in Action, she does not seem to do any promotion and unless someone mentions it on a music site who knows she is releasing anything.It is a shame though but I do not think I have seen the video more than twice.

 

The promo she has done this era has been shocking - And so far she has only had 3 TV appearances for the new single [iTunes Festival shown on ITV2, Album Chart Show Special & T In The Park which was shown on BBC3] :( Seeing as those shows would have attracted about 10 viewers she might as well not bothered!, I get the feeling Kate is really not interested in commercial success though and will continue recording when Polydor drop her on her arse!

 

 

 

Did The Wanted actually take exactly 48 hours for its pop-bars to decrease to nothing?

 

I mean, one would think it'd be a nice number, like 24, 36, 48, but there's no reason why it couldn't be something like 31.43 hours. Just because it was over 24 hours, it doesn't necessarily mean it's 48 hours. Some people just aren't that sensible. :lol:

'The Wanted' is not such a good example tbh - Even though it was removed from sale to the genral public after a few hours anyone that pre-ordered it could still download it as when they signed into iTunes it triggered the download to begin as esentially the pre-orders had been released and charged for hence why it probably stayed around for a while as there were still trickle downloads if that makes sense? :unsure: :lol:

I don't think that XXXO will do so well now that it isn't even being released it as a single and it could only enter the chart if it's downloaded from the album :(

Also she hasn't premiered the video or done promoting yet and for some reason moved the date of it's release from 28 June to the day the albums out :nocheer:

XXXO is getting a lot of love from radio 1 so it might do ok but not as well as it deserves to. I am sure the album will outpeak Kala.

 

It is a very sad day for music when Katie Price is selling more singles than Kate Nash.

And people repeatedly said Prof Green was a surefire number one! :lol:

Yeah, it sort of makes sense.

 

Maybe us guys on Buzzjack should do an experiment. Buy a track which nobody else buys, and see how long the pop-bars decrease to 0.

 

We could also try other things. Like to see if they're weighted (although I doubt they are), we could have a few people buy the track within seconds of each other. If the pop-bars aren't weighted, it'll decrease to 0 instantaneoulsy after 24/48/whatever hours. If they are weighted, it'll decrease to 0 gradually.

Surely the same goes for any act that whores themselves around the media? Exposure in most cases = a hit!, Katie has done zero promo for the single so far apart from announce its release on Twitter today - There is also no video either so she can hardly be accused of 'selling her soul' when it comes to this project.

It would be a travesty if Prof Green goes to No 1 even Top 5.I am sure if any members of the SOS Band are dead they are turning and cursing in their graves.I have not heard the Mark Ronson song but am sure he will go Top 3.Prayin is going in the wrong direction and Diana really needs some good promo next week.
